Would you let her keep your last name?? Posted on 07-27-2004

Ok, we all know that in divorce, many times the woman keeps her ex-husband's last name. I wanted to get a census on how everyone feels about this. Would you want your ex-wife keeping your family name even though you aren't together anymore??? personally I wouldn't want some girl walking around sharing my name like that if we weren't together. It sounds like there could be some type of security risk with that. Like she could access certain things with various accounts, etc. or something. *in his creator voice* "I made thou, and I shall take thee Awayyy!!"

Pre-Nup, whats mine b4 stays mines after, i owned the house b4 u the house is mine, the car too, the bank account too minus what u put in, all future income i make is mines too u dont get jack, no alimony. If we got kids the kids get support with a guardian of the court controlling the money so u dont go spending the kids money on yaself or ya new man, if i buy u an apartment for the kids to live the rent will be collected via direct collect from a private bank account, that goes for all bills the court may order me to pay and my name for damn sure reverts back to me if u aint the one go back to who u were and ur previous lifestyle and give me what i was born with. Too many women try to make ****difficult in divorce, and try to make more money off things thats y u cover ur bases b4 hand none of this take he rot court 4 my name she signed the pre-nup she wants to get stupid and violate the pre-nup she loses more than she gains. And dont get married in states where the marriage laws favor the women and screw the men. Those states r known to overturn pre-nups. Thats y I aint married in NY or California. Gotta protect whats mines, make it fair and keep it simple.

I hope that i never get a divorce and that I marry the right man. But if I do keeping the name has to do with the terms that the relationship ended. If it was really bad and I was very angry I would pull and Angela basset and Burn The **** car with his name fukk it (just kidding I would sell the car) But if it was mutual and we were still "friends" we'd have to discuss it

My mom is divorce and she has my dad's last name... She kept the last name because it was my brother and I last name... I think in situations like this, the mother should keep the last name....
Yeah I heard something like this on a episode of "All of Us".
Me too...Its when Robert wanted Tia, his fiancee, to take his last name...and she basically didnt want too because the ex wife Niecy was holding onto it for the sake of their child.
