^^^^ 7gs to start being paid off aint bad compared to the $20,000 the government loaned me and said had to start making payments on 2 months after it was awarded. Ima be in one in debt student by the time I graduate. Im taking out 20gs a year until I graduate. :?
Damn, I thought MY loan situation was bad. I've taken out 7gs for 3 yrs, but this year I had to take out 15 :x , broke my damn heart :cry:! Too bad this is only the beginning of the end cuz medical school will be paid for with loans (and folks WONDER why I wanna go to a school close to home :roll
Hell if I woulda stayed in NY....I woulda been going to the Ivy league....FOR FREE! But no, I had to learn to live on my own.....damned parents....
^Well some us-like me-have really no choice. I dont get ANY financial aid....scholarships are like one in a million-so whats left? Loans-but its worth it though.. im getting a chance to get a great education so thats all that matters.
Yep...i'm doing the loan thing. Last year, i had about a 6 thou in total (a combination of subsidized and unsbusidized). They tried to offer me a 20 thou one to cover everything, but my mom's credit was so shot that she didn't even get approved. I found that to be a postive, cuz it forced us to find other means, instead of being so quick to take the fast cash. I had a few small outside schollies, and other than that...but momma worked overtime like a **** to the cover the rest (bless her heart). And i'm payin on those suckas already, so the interest doesn't go up. It's just a neverending debt trap. This year i'm pretty much in the same predicament...pray for me yall :? .
DAMN!!!! The whole time I'm sittin here feelin like I'm the only broke individual coming from a broke a$$ family trying to go to school and feelin like it's kinda hopeless, money wise. *Stops herself & thinks about what i just said* Well, maybe ya'll ain't said all that but it still helps knowing i ain't the only one lookin at loan debt...
Aey, aight I got 1 mo' question..... Is there ANY advice ya'll wanna offer up to folks who prolly bout to get loans? i mean, u know - look for low interest rates, APR info, etc. u know just all that loan stuff that messes folk up.
Loans is all I got. Spent two straight months filling out scholarships and doing essays and test and they ain't give me SHYT! Well I did eventually get a $985 bond one semester...so that was nice...
All my tuition is on loan. Gotta do what you gotta do.
DAYUM! I take out maybe one loan a year and it's subsidized. Chile start weighing your options! Don't let them charge up your life!
That sounds good ma but a lot of times loans is the only option people (like me :? ) have. I mean beleive me it **** to have to think about the money Im gonna have to pay back and all the interest, but these times im exepeirincing (sp) in college u cant put a price on. So if i have to work my **** off to pay for it....then so be it :wink:
