lol thats like ppl askin me if they got elephants and tigers runnin thru the streets where im from, but nah... and there aint no tigers in africa in case anybody was wondering
woah i just read a lil bit "polluted by white blood" wtf thats a lil too much lolol ol girl got some issues...
lol how this dude going to have a stereotype about a specific countrys gender
Well.....
1. I have never been there[Nigeria]
2. I only go by what I see on TV
3. The television only show African botyscratchers so that is what I go by.
Was that explanation enough???
Well, now you know why white people have their opinions about African Americans...
Ok......whew.......I was stating that the television negatively steretypes Nigerians so that is the only depiction of nigeriens that i see....since i have never been to Nigeria.....I have never saw a music videeo with beautiful nigerians...but i always see videos with beautiful brazillians, venezuelans. and etc......did that make any sense or should i explain more????
1. please explain more
2. well it depends what you call beautiful?
3. if notice the ones who you say are "beautiful" are just effects of Spain's colonialism.
When I look at television, I see:
1. Nigerians with **** hair and flies around their mouths
2. To me, the 'dirty look' is not beautiful.
3. What rap videos youve seen have 90% darkskinned african featured women in them???................................exactly. But i can name you 10 rap videos with 90% lightskinned women with europen features in them.
4. The above^^ was to show how African/Nigerians were depicted in the media---negatively. The media is my only source of info on Nigeria especially since i havent been.......
That reminds me of something ma Nigerian roommate said to me last summer. I was in a 4-week Business program at the Univ. of Mich.
We were debating on whether it was ok for Abercrombie and Fitch to have the "all-american" (a code word for an all-white, blond-haired, blue-eyed advertising campaign) look in their advertising... So we were looking on their website and I found a picture of an African-American male model. So I told her that he probably represented the percentage of their customers who are actually black (there was one black model for about every 10 pictures).
Well anyways she told me he was not "black enough"... She said he didnt count... His features were too european...
I was just looking at her like  ... When is a person black enough to represent their race?
I mean the guy was a light-brown complexion... about 7-10 shades darker than me. So I just snapped on her like "Am I f*cking black enough for you?" And she was like well u also have too mant European features, but it's not your fault that you've been polluted by white blood..."
Anyways the broad was crazy, and your statement made me reminisce or whateva...

your friend was a bit crazy, but it does get a bit much when all ya see in media are black people with european features...and im talking about positive media like advertising not degradation like BET lol....i mean i could understand if there was a BROAD mixture of black people even ones who did have wider noses, nappier hair, darker etc....but the truth is there isnt.......i mean i even remember some documentary where some advertisers said the stigma of darker skinned african americans in media is that they look "more ghetto" so they try to avoid them in advertising because other races tend to shy away from products/services where it seems threatening or in other words "thuggish" which arent designed to be   :? .......but yeah you are truly black, homegirl was trippin

She was seriously tripping on that... hmm.. POLLUTED by WHITE BLOOD.. hmm.. see.. Nigerian or not, I woulda smacked the broad... Let me say this.. The opinions of one Nigerian are not and DO NOT reflect those of our entire population.. Now I might've said that to my best friend, cuz I know we would've laughed at it and she wouldn't have taken it offensively, but you don't just up and say that tto someone you barely know... SHe disrespected you, and I am apologizing profusely for her insensitivity.... I might have to track that heffa down....
