On that note, just drop the subject. To be honest, these franternity and sorority post should not even be allowed on the board. If you are interested in joining a sorority on a particular campus...DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH about greek life on that campus. Find the answers for yourself, no one in sorority is going to give you the answers. They worked hard for theirs, now you MUST work hard for yours. They are NOT just going to give you your letters. It is as easy as that...it does NOT get any easy 8)
I think the greeks on this board are acting so irrational. If you guys don't remember, these are high school students. Unless they have older siblings or cousins who have attended college, they have no idea what college life is about. If they can't ask sensible questions to current students, who are they suppose to talk to. People always say don't tell people what you want to pledge. I think this can be misleading also. No, you shouldn't go around talking about what you are going to pledge; however, I see nothing wrong with asking people in the greek world about it. For Miss_Choklit to be representing any pan-hel organization, I would think you of all people would have the decency to be kind to this young lady and educate her on the process and the benefits of joining any organization. Instead, you chew her out about a question that she has every right to ask. Revealing what one wants to pledge over a message board is really not a big deal. Even if this young lady went to your school Miss_Choklit, you would have no idea who she was. I think you totally overreacted.
P.S. I would say that the AKAs hold it down at Tuskegee. As a chapter, they have been recognized by on regional and national levels and also had the highest GPA in the southeast region. They are also very active on campus and in the surrounding community.
