I honestly, do believe in God. He has been with me through the good and the bad. Lately, I have heard a lot of people blaming God for what happened to them or for what they did. I even heard someone blame God for killing their brother and he doesn't think a god exists. Not too many people stop and think about what they had done or what they had brought on themselves. They even blame the devil too, but they blame God more. People, think before you act and don't blame God for your mistakes! God loves you.
No, my friend you have it all wrong. And that is not to be desrespectful its just for clarity. We all have a choice to what we believe in, that's freedom. God don't hold us hostage to follow His rules, it is entirely up to us whether we want to follow His will or not. The commandments were given because folk needed something to keep them in line in the way of life. Commandments in what God expects us to worship Him and commandments in which God expects us to treat each other. That's all it is. We follow a whole lot of rules in society, such as don't cross the street on a red light. Pay your car note or it will be repoed. There are rules all around us. For me personally, because I've chosed Christianity, my life has been better ever since. Now let me say this...It's not easy. And I wish pastors, preachers, matriarchs, patriarchs had explained to young Christians no matter the age, that to follow Christ is not an easy thing to do. It takes sacrifice and discipline. Guess what else, Christianity does not allow someone to be holier than thou, fanatics or looking down on someone because they've made mistakes or they are not on the level of someone who has been a Christian a long time. We all are saved by grace and we don't have a right to down someone else. But my belief is strong just as the next person believes in something else. So it is up to the individual whether they want to take this walk or not...it's up to the individual it they want to walk with another religion. But as for me and my house, I will serve the Lord. I love all of you because Christ loves you and He is my example. Yes, I may not have known Him in His earlier life on earth but I know Him in my heart because what He has done for me. Holla, and I'll Hollaback.

it seems like to accepted in the black community ESPECIALLY THE BLACK american COMMUNITY you have to be a righteous christian, and it just seems stupid to me, if i say im not a christian black people wanna trip and act like i have the plague or something....and they try to feel sorry for me.....or "pray for me"...i mean instead of accepting my religion they try to convert me or belittle me, etc... and that is just total disrespect for my religion, and my personal choices....no disrespect to anyone on here, but religions are so similar in doctrines there should not be a seperation in the first place...most major religions around the world have the same universal rules of love and non **** and one god who's name may be different, so im awestruck at why we seperate ourselves so much

The only two religions people promote are Christainity and Islam..Judaism doesnt convert people because it's mainly about being Jewish and is only .2% of the worlds population.

I feel your pain Shoya..The way Christains view others is like a total "Slap" in the face..In which they belive that their religion contains the Truth and the All Powerful God...
The hardest thing for me to ever do is to tell my mother that I didn't FULLY believe in the Christian religion. She was devastated and told me she was gonna pray for me and she even called me a heathen and that "Christian " lady is supposed to be my mother. :cry:
But to answer your question, I'm not going to put a label on what I belong to. I feel as if that is just too one-sided. What I've done is incorporate some of the ideologies of Buddhism, Toaism(pronounced Doaism or "The Way"), and even Christianity...
I think all the religions are overwhelmed by the particular revelation they have been given and are blinded to other traditions' riches.
So in other words, One could be a Democrat but believe in some of the ideologies of Republicans. I will never believe that there is just ONE..
Dang...I had a lot of readin to catch up on. I leave for the rest of the day (yesterday) and soo much has happened. Well I got a couple of thangs to say. I can completely understand where u guys (shoya and one lazy ****) are comin from when u say that other Christians try and look down on u or try to convert u to their religion. I know how mean and cold hearted some of my own type of people can be. But not everyone that's a Christian is like that. Everyone has their own tactics to things. With me...i dont look down on anyone because they're not apart of my religion...because then i'd probably have no friends. But at tha same time...if a convo comes up and i have a window of opportunity...i'm gonna speak my mind. Besides... why does everyone blame God for everything? Does no one believe in the Devil nowadays? I always hear everyone sayin "God did this...and God did that..." But no one stops to think that maybe its the work of the Devil. Or is it that people are juss too scared to say that? But I totally respect everyone's opinions on this subject. And im not tryin ta step on any toes when im sayin all of this! HOLLA BACK!
