I loove that song. It has a really cool and unique beat and I love how he's appreciating (black) women in this song. No cussing, no calling women ho's or b!tches, it's great. But it is starting to annoy me...
I really like dis joint yo. Bobby V is doin big thangs, but I must disagree wit sumthn dat came up n a discussion on my campus (Univ. of Cincinnati). Technically, he is not appreciate'n black women n my opinion. As it states n da song..."slow down, i jus wanna get 2 kno ya, but dnt turn around, cuz dat pretty round thang looks good 2 me"...is dat really appreciate'n a black woman, or her body parts once again??
My sista & I were sit'n n da car da otha day listen'n 2 dis song & we both were imagine'n otha singers who would do jus as good or betta on dis track. Bobby V is ****'n it, but he's a "whiner" (a male R&B singer reminiscent of Keith Sweat, Case types who sing with more of a nasal sound, dey mostly r 1st or 2nd Tenors, use der higher register to sing wit, & hav a lite & airy but strong tone & texture to der voice). We came up wit a few singers who could battle him vocally on dis, so gimme ur input.
Sisqo
Case
Dat 1 short, bald dude frm Silk, i cnt remember his name...
Carl Thomas
Usher
Glenn Lewis
Ginuwine
Add 2 dat list if u want 2, but gimme feedback & lemme kno wat y'all think.

I liked this song when it first came out, but I stopped liking it as I realized that he was kinda bein more of an a**hole than appreciating Black women. After several listens, this is what I heard:

Hey there, lil shawty. I was followin you down on Melrose. Slow down, Baby. I wanna get to know ya. Naw, baby don't look at me yet. I'm still drooling over your phat ****. Okay, Cutie. You may turn around for Bobby now.
You gots some nice tattoos and piercings, baby. Let's go for a walk, so I can spit game. It'll be impressive game too, just you wait.
It's been real talkin to ya gurl. Now lemme get them digits, or else I'm never gonna leave you alone!
Now, if he was over at DTP Studios instead of cakin on Melrose Ave, 7 digits would be 3 too few.

Thats ironic b/c me and my girls said this song would be so much better if Carl Thomas did it. He is so soulful and emotional (oun intended). Carl Thomas is one of my favorite singers and is so underrated.
