I have a friend that recently went to a XYZ orgazational fair and accidenlty touched the XYZ blanket. Also while at the fair she was wearing the colors of the oraganization.... was she wrong ?
I mean whoa...I understand alot of whats being said and I have to say it depends on the situation..If you are at xyz function and their colors are green and yellow...Im not going to go there for one thats A **** **** MIX AND tWO thats their colors and then again I mean If I felt like wearing it and it wasnt my intentions to offend anyone I would wear what I want to wear and thats If I knew what comes along with the territory...
Any How...It doesnt Matter...

To me its sooo stupid when greeks get mad for people wearing their colors around campus. Some people love pink and green, some people love red, and so on. But I do understand the notion behind not wearing their colors to the rush. But when greeks get mad over just wearing their colors on any given day, they have NO LIFE outside of their greek, really who does that?!?!?

Please tell me that you are kidding!!! I hope no one in any greek really gets upset for people wearing the SAME COLORS AS YOUR GREEK. You do realize that AKA was founded in 1908 not pink and green. I can't understand you getting upset unless someone is wearing aka nelia or unless someone is on your line and you forbidd them to wear those colors until they cross that I can understand somewhat.

i remember i had to go to an Honors banquet this spring, and about 2 months before this i bought this lovely evening dress but it was green and with a some pink near the chest area with lil pale pink roses, it was really pretty ya had to have seen it, but when buying the dress i didnt know that AKA probate would be like a week before the banquet...but while walking to the banquet i got so many stares from other girls, and alot of my friends had crossed over iNTO aka and were at the banquet but werent wearing their colors and i felt horrible ....and one AKA at the banquet looked me up and down like i was the **** of the earth...it was just a horrible night for me even though i did win some awards*EVEN AN IPOD YAYYY* but i mean i couldnt like pick up another dress especially since im broke anyways and i did spend a pretty penny on it, and it was pretty last minute....but yeah all of my friends were ok with it i later found out, but the ones who werent lol...i think a few greeks in ANY organization may go overboard with the colors sometimes, ive even seen someone flip* ON ANOTHER COLLEGE CAMPUS in GA which i wont say* flip at a guy for wearing que colors, but it was freaking LA LAKER GEAR!!!..

the reason behind the madness goes as followed...I stated before that i do not mind other people wearing pink AND green...it dosent phase me BUT the problem arises when some one who i KNOW is a PROSPECT wears both PINK AND GREEN together on campus. SO when you see us geting up set over someone wearing our colors it just may turn out that that person is a prospect...but YOU may not know that, now would you?! :???:

I don't think it's necessarily an issue of just wearing their colors. Like it's already been said...no organization owns a color. If i see someone in royal blue and white, i might take a double take to see if it's frat or soror, but i won't say "oh hell naw, how dare that person where my colors!". But if u are a prospect for an org or if u are going to an event thrown by a particular org, do u think it is wise to walkin in flaunting their colors?
My favorite color is blue. It was my favorite color before i was even interested in Zeta. And pleeze believe i own alot of blue. But i didn't wear it when i was going to their events/functionsIt gives the impression that...a)u already think you're a shoe in for the org or b) you're tryin a lil too hard to get their attention. Neither one of those impressions are very flattering
oh wait to clarify i was not a prospect!, though i love my friends who are AKAs and have plenty of em lol, but im kinda wanting another group to hopefully interview me...but ive never expressed interest in being a prospect...so i guess maybe a few were mad for some other reason i guess....which im still a bit confused about...which maybe kenya or kenyaeyez can explain to me ya know, cause its kinda been a puzzle to me , and i dont want the same thing to happen with the other group...
