a guy friend of mine who goes 2 A&T & now lives in Greensboro, NC....& grew up in different places throughout the U.S., due 2 his father being in the military....tells me that his fav. place 2 live so far was Michigan...because in so many words, he said that the Black people down here r rather "narrow-" or "close-minded" when it comes to certain things...
& the example he used was that he is very adventurous...and participates in sports that are considered non-typical of many Blacks....like rock-climbing...sky-diving...skateboarding....skiing...etc. etc. etc...
and he says when he tells his friends & peers down here about those types of things...they respond with something to the extent of "pssh, Black people don't do that" lol...& he says he hates that...
well my question is, what are some things that you all do (or say) that are "stereotypical" of another race? and what are some things you DON'T do (or say) that are "stereotypical" of Blacks?

I am flashy
I dont care for most animals
I love all soul food
Im lactose intolerant
I love to dance
I love hip hop
I like red pop
I like to sit out front of my house
I like having bbqs and block parties
s-types that I prove false:
I love to swim
I love to read
I don't watch videos
I know how to budget
I dont go cussin people out
I am not unnecessarily loud
I don't only wear urban designers (I grew out of that about 2 yrs ago)
I love Babra Streisand
I love seeing shows on Broadway
In fact, I dream of being in a Broadway musical
I don't hate white people
I don't mind dating outside my race
I am not all that displeased with Bush
I like cold weather
