^Ignorant; that's if this story is factual. People are treated differently depending on how they look in certain instances but it's your job, especially at Wal-mart, to treat all customers in the same matter. If the "ghetto" girl came at you disrespectful, I could see but if you just did it cause white chick appealed to you more, you need to check yourself. That's just my honest opinion. Just treat people how you want to be treated.

Chivalry is not ****. You should have treated the tall lady just as well as you treated the short lady. That would have been the GENTLEMAN thing to do. I dont know about anyone else, but my brother was taught to open doors and pull out chairs for any lady no matter her color, height, or etc....
That didnt seem very relevant. Yea Im guilty. When I worked in retail, I helped those who LOOKED like they had money, and were actually going to buy something a lot more. If someone looked easy to persuade, I would help them more also. Not to be stereotypical, BUT White people almost always would spend money, Mexicans rarely would (and if they did, it would be on clearance items), and Black people either steal or buy (but 70% of those who buy, end up bringin Sh*t back for a refund or credit)...And thats just being REAL...
I was giving my opinion about the situation and answering his question like everyone else did. What is irrelevant about that?
Nevermind. Just the fact that you said something about chilvary not being ****. It didn't seem to go with the topic.

^I think she was trying to say that no matter how tall or short a woman is or how attracted he is to her, she is still a woman and should have helped her out with the milk as well. I think that's what's she meant.

I guess that I have a story or two: 1.) I was working a regular day at Charlotte Russe and a nice sized woman (about an eight) came into the fitting room entrance to try on clothes. I was nice and even carried a little conversation with her (makin that commission), but then after I helped her into a private fitting room another girl who was a bit heavy set came into the fitting room entrance. I automatically wondered why she was even in the store since we only sell junior sized clothes (no plus-sizes). I gave her a number and put her in a fitting room without even caring about being nice...since she wasn't gonna buy the clothes any way. She came in the fitting room with like a size 8 pants knowing damn well she is like a 16. I have nothing against plus sized women, but I hate to see them buying or wearing clothes that don't even fit their bodies. ( I know that they be uncomfortable, but some people be in denial about their size. 2.) It was a normal day at work again, but today somethin was in the air cause guys kept trying to talk to me while I was in my store. ( In the front display area) One guy who was **** **** ( I'm sorry for that, but dammit he was) came in thinking that he was the sh!t or something tryin to mack me. We have headsets on and so on the low I called one of my co-workers to come tell me that I needed to do somethin so that I could get away from the guy cause his a** was persistent. The very same day a nice lookin guy came into the store tryin to mack me, but I blushed and nicely declined his date offer. I know that I was wrong for some of the things I've done with pre-judging people, but I learned from it and it's over and done with now.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I always get treated well because I'm pretty. I mean girls always give me employee discounts, free stuff, whatever. So yeah, I get treated better than the **** people wherever I go and I even am guilty of lookism and treat **** people poorly sometimes.... But that's cool.

I think it was relevant. She's stressing that chilvary involves helping any woman, regardless of her physical attributes. And Shy Morenita...sorry to say it, but chivalry IS ****. Especially among our generation. U didn't get the obituary? As for the looks thing, i think there is a time and a place for it. At work, people should be treated with the same respect. There is a certain amount of professionalism that should be possessed on the job that allows someone to put looks aside. A customer is a customer. As for what u do in your personal life, that is your bizniz. It is everyones rightful choice to decide who they want to befriend, hook up with, or get into a relationship with. I will admit that on bp or facebook, a guy who is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye (attractive) might be able to get away with a wack note like "wassup" or "hi". Others may have to go more in depth in their notes/messages. If u don't have the looks, at least show me that your personality is attractive. I gotta have SOMETHING to work with. Oh, and memo to folks. White people steal too. They're just more clever with theirs and don't get caught as easily
