Talking with my parents in the car, I came to a revelation.
I very seldom come to revelations.
Godly couples dont have as many problems as others.
Now, Ive been seeing alot of questions and comments on the mens and womans pages about situations concerning some really awful things... Good or bad, I think we forget to ask ourselves what our religion would dictate us to do. Mostly because I think we tend to deviate from our religion when it concerns our love lives, as if they dont have any real bearing on us.
It makes life easier when two people believe in a merciful and great God. When two people can lean to his understanding and wisdom, they can live a fulfilled life through Him - not only in Joy but in happiness. Coming to the end of Proverbs 31, virtuosity in woman is described (to a womans son) and I believe men do a great disservice by dating loose women and that women do a great disservice by not following this example.
Two people infused in their religions can find a way to make things work and, through the grace of God, help them become better people. I challenge everyone to read a Proverb a day.
Nothin wrong with a little bit of church. - Tres
Well, its something my father has me doing...ever since I came back to Texas (and yeah Im in TX now, straight livin in Houston) hes been having me read one a day. Like on the 2nd day of the month we'll read Proverbs Chapter 2... its so good because some of the principles in there...youd NEVER guess were even thought of during the time frame. Almost all the problems guys are having now in their life can be solved and summed up in that one book - thats why in jail they have whats called the "Book of Knowledge" that only contains Proverbs and Psalms...Wisdom and Praise.
For people who lack a father figure in their life, I strongly suggest reading it. It gives you a sense of purpose and the sense of feeling like someones Son - and thats a feeling I wouldnt trade for anything.
Oh, thanks for the compliment *wink and a smile*
U r so very welcome.
So u live in Houston now  .
I was reading this post, and I am going through some of this now. As a christian women I find it hard sometiems because you sit and wait for that right guy to come along, that person that is a Godly man or someone that is not far from that. It is kind of hard because in our society today you will not find many men that even go to church. I have found myself trying to settle for less than God had for me this past year. Sometimes you just get egured to get somebody and get involved with someone that is not equally yoked to you. I realized that it doesn't work that way because most of the time that guy is going to try to change your standards. Sometimes we as women get into relationships and think we can change that person to and it does not always happen like that. I know who I am in God and I am not going to let some one take me away from the relationship that I have with God. Most of the time if a guy is not even into church he is not going to understand where you are coming from. As a young christian women I know that more than ever I have to stay focused. The whole key is to stay focused and be patient because God will not give you someone that you have to go through alot with.
Its nice to hear christians coming out of their shell, not being afraid to express their opinions...cuz once they do, it makes other christians who were initially inable to speak empowered to do so. Maybe one day the popular opinion will be the christian one.
Maybe. Till then we effect change thats close to us, people we know and see every day that value our opinions...I didnt gain respect just to lose it, but to influence the people I care about the most to be better people. 8)
