These Greek Fam threads, posters and agendas and, and, and have wore me thin.
I am a mom so I can get wore thin. I got that.
When I came to HBCUCONNECT over a year ago, I was really hyped. Black kids, doing some good things, talkin about some good stuff...all good in the HBCU hood.
I sent MANY HBCU kids here. They know more about forums than I do so they said "naw, mom...Im mo lurk..." After about a year I decided to register, login and post.
Posting on the Greek Fam threads has been more than a notion. I have NEVER encountered such vicious, smart-alecky, vile, disgusting and awful behavior EVER.
I have to also say that the OVERWHELMING majority of "regular" posters to Greek Fam are intelligent, positive, helpful, patient, kind, respectful and nice...to me.
Lately their has been a real funk flava that is not serving the Greek Fam well. The going back and forth to MEAC and postin, cuttin and pastin what was said here to create negativity is simply not necessary. Problem with me? Bring it straight to ME. Don't draw Greek Fam into it by luring others here to see the mess that you are creating. Get at me. PM me. I will TRY and talk to you however, some simply want to fight which I just can not understand.
Why Chill?
Because their is no need to do otherwise. This IS the internet and like it or not folks do come here for information, entertainment and to say "see, I told you so." Chill because weather you be Greek or not you are representing or leading folks to associate you with HBCU. Do you think for a minute that all those incredible Black Greeks who have gone before you that they would write, post, fight and do the things that some of you have done on GF? I think not.
Why Sit Back?
Because. Because be you GDI or Greek none of this in the scheme of things is THAT SERIOUS. You don't have to jump in someone's chest because to YOU they seem stupid. Just sit back. They gonna work it out just like some of you did. Remember sticks and stones? Walk around it...
I know that things have changed over the decades. Back in my college days Greeks black or white were in a drought. Things got better...way better for the organizations. Back then BGLOS and blacks period got along. They respected one another and were cool with one another. Some of that exist today on a very large scale. Maybe it is with the older folks like myself. I don't know. But, I tell you all the Greeks and GDI's get along very well at my level.
Again, I came to Greek Fam for information and I thank the MANY of you who have been welcoming, polite and a pleasure to post with. It does not bother me as regards anything that has been posted. How that could be posted is beyond me. Now, a small small number of you are out to do no good, that is your choice and I am going to stay out of your way. Again, the OVERWHELMING majority of you are really fun, informative, polite and willing to provide the best perspective. I personally thank all of you.
My son is doing his thing. Like some of you, he "pledges" when he "pledges" and how he "pledges", where he "pledges, when he "pledges" is as much his business as it was yours when you were "pledging".
Greek Mom as a moniker like College Mom is a moniker. My moniker, my choice. Last I looked no one was handing out official names or tryin to regulate that. Does the moniker college mom mean I am in college? Does the name Greek Mom mean I am Greek? Does it really matter in the grand scheme of LIFE?
If someone wants to regulate further this site then I will say...start with yourself. I mean that in the most positive way. Those who seek to control and exert power are often suffering from some other life needs...let it go. Regulating a forum on the internet will not do the trick.
Create your own site or make your site the best greek site on the worldwide web. All the postin about one person being the clearing house is a bit much. MANY greeks and gdi's do not appreciate one voice that represents them. That one stop notion is a bit much. To me.
You gotta remember advertisers decide to advertise on sites because of bandwidth, volume of registered floks and other factors. Infinity hopes to sell that car but know that someone with my demographics is the likely buyer. So....careful with who you try and run out of town. Just might be the best thing for business(wink).
Finally, I am on record AGAIN:
1) I have NOTHING but mad love for all of the Divine 9.
2) I have NEVER disrespected any organization period, dot.
3) I am here to learn, have fun and have my say in a peaceful way.
4) If you have an issue with me please, PM me. We can work it out.
5) Many of my lifelong friends and family are in BGLOS.
6) I DO sleep with a Greek. Get over it. Get over that as a mom I proudly say it.
7) Our son does not care what I have posted in my hundred plus posts. His personal info about what BGLOS he wants, what BGLOS want him, what HBCU he attends is his business. Not mine to tell.
8) I know that I will have to deal with posters intent on showing off their "smarts". Does not bother me. Do yo thang. Again, if your real then PM me. However, take the TIME to READ all my post so that you will have a complete HBCU picture of me.
9) I truly wish the best and all God's blessings for each and every one of you.
10) What has been said has been said and what has been done has been done. I ain't upset, frustrated or angry with anybody. Page turned.

I just want to know why the hell someone felt like they needed to post pics of my chapter in another message board. The post wasn't about the Deltas it was about the AKAs. I hope the point you were trying to prove was successful. I would never bring in another organization (or even a chapter of my own at that) to prove a point. :x
I am not the one bashing the 137 AKAs of the Alpha Chapter. Congrats to all of them from me. I know vital information about 105 women can be learned...I DID IT so I don't doubt they did the same. Thanks for the pub though.

Oh so true! I mean why does it seem like they anticipate our every move? We don't care what ya do say, think, feel, etc. We got our own business to worry about? I mean it's sad! So I do encourage you, whoever you may be, to keep talking, bcuz the more ya do just lets me know how much ya like us and wish to be us, cuz if that wasn't the case.....why talk about us?

Being a published writer...sometimes I write and write and I write. No apologies for that.
My SECOND Wish for some Greek Fam posters...my first wish was for some of you to sit back and chill, is:
Take the time to read. No, really, read. Read the long stuff. Read the short stuff. Read the stuff you like and read the stuff you hate just READ.
To ask for a synopisis or to not complete a document is not the way to go especially if you seek a leadership position possibly "****" over posts. Taking the short cuts or asking others to do your work is a bad habit that you will regret. The real benefits of reading, comprehending and inteligently responding to what is presented will take you very far in life.
Try this...re-read this entire thread. Read for meaning. Count the total number of posters not posts. Compare that number to the estimated number of Greek Fam posters... Note what the concrete vs. percieved or emotional issues are. Note personality and posting styles. Who are the real leaders(those that you would follow) and who are the real followers?
Where are the original thinkers?
These steps are key to a life of improved comprehension and serve as a door into analytical reasoning...measure my response to verify the accuracy. Note what I give creedence to.
Practice doing this process on the internet and in real life. Most people will find you weird, strange or will label you as a fake. That is because people reject and disparage what they do not understand, what they fear or what they privately envy.
