A day after hinting that he would agree to a trade because of a contract dispute, Owens told the Philadelphia Inquirer he would report to training camp on Aug. 1 at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. Terrell Owens Wide Receiver Philadelphia Eagles Profile 2004 SEASON STATISTICS Rec Yds TD Avg Long YAC 77 1200 14 15.6 59 404 The controversial wide receiver told the newspaper he remains unhappy with his seven-year, $49 million contract and that he wouldn't mind being traded. "I'll be there," Owens told the Inquirer on Friday. "I mean, the bottom line is that I still believe I deserve a new contract. I still believe I deserve more than what they've given me. But I'm not stupid. I'm not about to miss training camp, get fined every day and give them even more reasons to keep from paying me. "I'll be there but I won't be happy, I can tell you that much. Take from that whatever you want," he said. - From ESPN.com What ya'll think about T.O. and his contract holdout. Do ya'll think he deserve a new contract, or should he just shut up and be happy? Personally I think that all football players, rather all sports athletes, should be content with the money they make. These dudes make millions and millions a year and what do they do? Complain. Please. Seriously though, I think its really too early in the contract to demand a new one. I mean sure he had a nice season last year, but that was just one year. If he didn't like the contract he shoulda never signed the b!tch in the first place. Of course, he could always come to my Falcons if he want....

I don't want to devalue t.o. as far as talent goes. He's an elite wide reciever in the league. It's just that I don't give recievers that much value anymore. After seeing all the good recievers coming out of college the past few years, and this year, the talent at reciever is becoming way more broad. Then after seeing moss, the best in the league by far, get traded for a LB and a draft pick, made me re-evaluate how valuable the recievers in this league really are. I think if they can be replaced by the next guy that easily then their demand really isn't that high. And when demand drops, value and respect drops. Just like with the RB's in the league right now. T.O. has a lot of talent, but the only two players in the nfl who I think deserve a new, and a lucrative contract, is antonio gates and richard seymour. That's simply because they're rarities, they have a ALOT more years left, and the best (antonio gates is debatable, but no one is a better 3-4 end than richard seymour) in the league at their positions. T.O. is old, doesn't have more than 3-4 more good years, and by his 3rd year, actually by his 2nd year, there are goin to be some wide recievers who replace him as one of the best.

okay im not gonna get into the discussion about Richard Seymour because i think there are better D-ends in the league, but since you qualified your statement, and made it just 3-4 ends, i will leave it be. I will add however he does deserve a new deal, as well as gates. as far as there being a saturated market for WRs name a big play WR that the eagles can replace TO with? name a big play reciever thats gonna be availible in the 06 draft that the eagles would have a shot at? name a big play reciever thats gonna be availible in free agency at the end of the season...YOU CANT, so bottomline the eagles need TO. and let it be known Jevon Walker also needs a new deal. he aint even askin for that much, he just wants just as much as ever other number 1 reciever on a team. He's only makin 500,000 for the year, thats terrible.

I know I'll sound crazy when I say this but I think the Eagles could do aight with the recievers they have now, and as reggie brown and greg lewis pick up the offense they could become way better. Just like with the vikings, their recieving core IS goin to be weaker, but it's been worst and I believe that they could get by. You right about Javon Walker, because if the pack suck with him, they definitely will suck without him. Plus he got the same contract that he done had since his rookie season. After 2 seasons, one where he was a pro bowler, Anquan Boldin is gettin resigned. I really think T.O. needs the Eagles more than the Eagles need him though. There's not that many other teams that would take him. He's a good player and he's a good guy off the field, but he just complains too much. He needs the Eagles because they WILL win and handle their business overall. Yea, T.O. isn't getting paid what his value says, but corey simon isn't either as well as jerimiah trotter and brian westbrook. I say he should look around at his other teammates, see how the eagles are dealing with them and how they have dealt with players in the past with these situations, and he should ride with what their givin him because he's not the only one.

Man Westbrook ain't nothin [yea, I'm frontin lol]. Corey Simon ain't either [Ahum, frontin again]. The eagles just drafted ryan moats and they got correl buckhalter back from injury, then on the defensive side they got Mike Patterson from USC....I'm not really a ride or die eagles fan, but I stand by my word and the Eagles are still gone be elite in the NFC.

the eagles werent Sh*t without westbrook?? did u watch them last year?
That's because their only other running back was Dorsey Levens and some practice squa cat..Maje or somethin like that....That's all that needs to be said. How many offenses can replace their starting running backs with.....Dorsey Levens.... When healthy, correl buckhalter has proved to be a good running back. I believe Ryan Moats to be Westbrooks future replacement, due to his style and ability. Judging from history, the Eagles aren't too bad at replacing players. But, still....Dorsey Levens...That's all I'ma say.

the eagles will not be the class of the NFC this year i gaurentee it. i think too many other teams have gotten better while the eagles organization has done nothing but make key players disgruntle. Carolina is a better team then the eagles and i wouldnt be surprised if the cowboys snuck up and won the nfc east this season. the eagles are a wild card team at best, however i feel that the Bucs, Lions, Bears, and suprisingly enough the Cardinals have done enough to fight for a playoff spot this season. my guess is the eagles wont make back to the NFC title game.

I'll start with Dallas. They have a great running game w/ julius jones, and decent passing with drew on board. Their recievers are old and all are basically possesion recievers. Their defense......Bill Parcells is the man, BUT, I think he made a mistake by forcing the switch to the 3-4. He drafted personnel to fit, and forced a few prior players into positions. That's an experiment, and the secondary is for the most part unproven in coverage. Even with anthony henry. Dallas may not even make the playoffs because the Giants are lookin more promising. Antonio Pierce, Burress, Eli Manning is waiting to break out. The Panthers are a good team. Their defensive line is on of the best, and the secondary is only getting better with chris gamble. Their unsettled at the RB spot, but from the play they showed last year they are looking like a RB warehouse like the broncos. I wouldn't count them out, but seeing as how unpredicatable teams in the NFC south has been, I can't guarantee anything. I'm still liking ATL the most, but Carolina or Tampa may step up. Both have vicks number when it comes to him running the ball. The cardinals shouldn't even be mentioned as a **** team anymore. They have one of the best young recieving cores, a solid o-line, and a young, up and coming defense. I say they gone easily dominate the NFC west in 1-2 years. The rams are wet, and so are the seahawks. They proved it all last year. So philly has dallas, and NY to compete with. We all know washington ain't gone do much of nothin. They can't even keep their teams intact from year to year. Then after that we can cancel out NY. They just don't have the experience and they haven't proved nothin yet. Dallas is too young and unexperienced on defense. Bottom line, the only eagles players who are "distrungtled" are westbrook and corey simon. Westbrook already signed his tender which means he HAS to report to camp. Even if he didn't, he's replaceable. Corey Simon hasa solid veteran and a fresh rookie with promise behind him. He's replaceable. T.O. is goin to play good reguardless because he know dono takes care of him. Now, lets rewind to last year when **** mcnabb ignored T.O. on the sideline. That was "conflict" and the Eagles still got over it. Their too experienced to be swayed by a few repleaceable disgruntled players. They lost jeremiah trotter one year....they still went to the NFC title game. They lost hugh douglass one year...the same thing. They lost two pro bowl cornerbacks in bobby taylor and troy vincent and then went to the superbowl and this is suposed to sway the Eagles? Anyway it goes, the bears are winning the superbowl this year.......

I agree with led by fire....Dallas is an alright team. But they don't have the team they had in the early 90s..... I think Atl will make it all the way this year....but I want to see what the other teams are going to do with the new rookies.

without Owens the Eagles wont make it out of the second round of the playoffs. McNabb will have to revert back to being a running QB because his options are limited. The eagles best option if they dont wanna pay him would be to trade him straight up to ATL for Peerless Price. that would put TO in the city he lives in, and put T.O. with Greg Knapp his old offensive coordinator from San Fran. and ATLs owner would most importantly pay T.O. what he's worth.
Haha yea right. Peerless ain't the receiver he was in Buffalo. I mean come on, you're the #1 receiver and you have 45 catches and 3 TDs?? I know Vick ain't really passing the ball too much, but Peerless had plenty of dropped balls and other missed catchable catches. D'Eagles would seriously be gettin robbed if they were to make that trade. I wouldn't complain though
