Im in that group! But I think the creator wasn't using the term to put anyone down. The title was probably used to grab attention. The people in the group have all different textures and grades of hair. If you keep your hair clean and styled, you have "good hair"... There is a group also called "Brown Sugar: Cause them light skinned **** are going out of style", but I don't get offended by that, because hopefully whoever named that group was joking.

yea I hear what you saying...and I feel the same about those groups geared towards different shades of being dark/light. Hopefully they are just jokin...but I never join groups like that either cause we are all BROWN SKINNED at the end of the day. Regardless of the shade it is, brown is beautiful PERIOD. We need to stop gettin stuck up on things that dont matter. Thats all im really saying...

yeah i feel u. lol. the in between complexion? hmmm....neva figured it that way. i guess thats kinda true. either way though. and as for the whole "**** features" thing. Ladies, and i thought u would understand this the most. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. NO ONE is ****. EVERYONE is attractive or unattractive to SOMEBODY. i dont think that Denzel is the finest brother in the world, and i didn't think Luther Vandros (R.I.P.) was that damn fine but there are numerous females that would disagree with me. I think that Ludacris and Morris Chestnut are some of the finest men in the world, but my best friend thinks they're hideous. features dont really have anything to do with it. It's all about what you define as beautiful or handsome.

^^^^Oh and BTW Cafe....The song "Brown Skin" does refer to you....I know you don't go by White...do you... and whether anyone is fair,caramel,golden,mocha..blue,purple....it doesn't matter b/c in the eyes of a white person we are WHAT!!!! BLACK!!!!! everyone who is black should embrace their heritage...b/c it seems that everyone wants to be like us..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^^^^^^THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was waiting to see who'd be the first to mention that. tanning salons and such. Do you realize that the African-American (and black people in general) race is the most imitated race there is in THE WORLD? Yo, in Japan they got these ppl, i forget there exact names, it starts with a G, but they try to imitate what they think it is to be black. They rock mad Enyce, Rocawear, braid their hair, blah blah. While i'm on this subject. How many of ya'll are TIRED of hearing some ignorant a** person saying that you're not "acting black" if you behave a certain way (ie. dont lissen to hip-hop, speak properly, are SUCCESSFUL)? if that ain't the most...let me get ghetto "ignant" thing i've ever heard in my life, i dont know what is. :x

I think that this idea of lightskinned females being better than darkskinned females came from slavery. The **** masters **** slaves. Those women became pregnant and had lightskinned babies. And dark girls would look at the light girls with "good hair" and want to be them because they could pass for white. Music videos have brainwashed men into thinking that lightskinned females with long hair are what they should be looking for. And if a girl doesn't have an unusually big **** or she isn't at least a C cup, then she's not worth talking to. I think it's sad that the people who make these videos don't take into consideration what kind of messages they are puttin out there. Young pretty girls who don't look like the video girls are thinking that they aren't beautiful. I am a caramel girl with hair that barely touches her shoulders. I'm not skinny, I have hips and curves and thighs. And I like the way I look. It doesn't upset me because I'm an A cup. I am beautiful. And I like all kinds of men. From as light as Shemar Moore to as dark as Taye Diggs.
