I'm attending Chicago State University this fall, i was interested in joining a fraternity. I started doing research and out all the fraternity's i researched i felt that i was most interested in Alpha Phi Alpha Inc. The intelligent and leadership mentality of alpha phi alpha inc. caught my attention the most. Becoming part of this legacy is very important to me. So I'm asking your advice on where i could find out more infomation about this fraternity and some of the steps i could start taking to pledge alpha phi alpha inc.

Let me give you a little advice:
1) Enjoy your freshman year. Party, have fun, volunteer in the community and become active in organizations on your campus. Boost your GPA.
2) Pledging doesn't exist anymore. We use a process called intake. That is nationally mandated. Stop using that term.
3) Do not refer to the full name of my organization using lower cased letters. The "A" "P" and "A" should be capitalized.
4) The only information that you can gather past what's already available on the internet should be pursued from fraternity members in person. No one is going to, or should tell you what they know over the net.
5) Do not put your email address on a public messageboard and then ask for information. The internet makes greeks well connected.
Hope that helps.
