jacked from another site When we read about all the atrocities and crimes against humanity committed in Iraq, no matter how much we can point the finger at Bush, Condoleezza and the like, the one's who actually carry out these dirty deeds are the troops. The only heroes worthy of note are those who develop a conscience, see their real mission for what its worth and quit the armed forces of the United States. It is the largest ****organization humanity has ever seen. It will be a beautiful day when soldiers, en masse, just up and quit that hideous organization. http://www.uruknet.info/pic.php?f=f18.jpeg (warning graphic) The American military, from top to bottom is a hideous blight on our planet. There are no innocents in this massive killing machine. There's no 'honour' in volunteering for the worlds largest ****organization, now under the command of the deceitful, criminal cabal led by George W. Bush. American soldiers are well trained to ****, and obviously, to torture, and they go off to Iraq all of their own 'free will." They know that they will ****, and that they may die. There will not be any "honour," or "glory" for these stupid youngsters who continue to volunteer themselves for 'duty' in Bush's appalling adventure. These soldiers, including the 2000 ****, by taint of their volunteer status, are each personally responsible for the murder of 100,000 innocent Iraqi's. True, there are several heroic, courageous and righteous American soldiers, -namely Brandon Hughey, Jeremy Hinzman and others who have revolted against the criminal, inhuman behaviour they were expected to participate in. When will all those 'Gold Star Families' start recognizing that these are the only true heroes coming out of the USA military? The idea that you can "Support the Troops" and be against what they do in the world is simply irreconcilable. The ****mastermind of their deaths says exactly the same thing every day: "We've lost some of our nation's finest men and women in the war on ****," Bush said. "Each of these patriots left a legacy that allowed generations of their fellow Americans to enjoy the blessings of liberty." __________________________________________________ your thoughts?

What bearing does it have? Neither have you, moreso why your arguments are void of rational thought. I have served in a combat zone, yes.

Jag, did you just equate military personel to random street killers? :???:
Actually I didn't equate anything. What I did was ask a very legitimate question. When we're talking man to man combat I can see saying that in the event of a death they are simply protecting themselves. But I just find it interesting that if someone is on the street and they feel their life is being threatened and they **** someone, more than likely their **** is going to the clink. We all know that everytime someone goes ot jail it isn't premeditated. That's all. I'm not trying to say soldiers are murderers but in times of war they are contracted killers.
And that would make our enemies ____ ?
What do you mean?

What? We are contracted to **** those who are a threat to us. How is that anything like the mob?

Let's put it like this. Move my silly mob analogy to the side lol. Before the soldiers went to Iraq, were Iraqis a threat to them? Soldiers became a threat to the Iraqis because they encrouched on their homeland and I would think the military in a way posed a threat to the Iraqis first. I think of it like this. Say my boss doesn't like the way you run your business and we're a bigger company than you, so my boss says go to Thunderstruck's company and "fix it". So when I come to your company and tell you what you need to do or we're going to do it for you, would you not feel threatened because of my actions? And would that not make you want to take some type of action against me? I don't think war, or disputes period, are ever just so easy as right and wrong and you're wrong because I'm right so now you're my enemy. I think it's all relative, depends on whose perspective you're looking at.

And suppose half of my worker's agree with your boss. That not only puts me in a tight situation, it also puts me in a losing minority. I have NEVER said we were in Iraq for a "right" reason. I just said that we've been put in a situation where we have to defend ourselves against an enemy that doesn't really care for it's civilian population either.

That's because the civilian population feels that they have to defend themselves as well, by any means necessary. I think it's just more complex than most of us make it seem.
