I don't post in this forum at all but after I read the above I had to post. I remember that. I wouldn't go as far as saying the neos of Iota Phi Theta didn't know what to do, they continued their show as they were told.
ok... watched the probate vid- wasn't overly impressed. I was expectin' to see... some steppin, neos greeting their bruhs, the sororities, recite some history- and of course a bit of dissin'.... un4tunately there was an overload of dissin'... i'm dissappointed- cuz thats the only Iota pro-show I've seem... hopefully there alot better...
so far i haven't been to impressed with the male pro-shows at my school. they've been good and impressive (specially the Sigmas) but they relied to much on dissin... now the female pro-shows were the sh...t! I mean they held it down (specially them Deltas). i mean they were emotional- thats what i wanna see when peoplee have their pro-shows. not people being conceited but a bit of humbleness.... but yuh thats me...
K, I don't know if it's the fact that this is coming from a Greek perspective, an individual who has seen a nice amount of probates/stepshows, or maybe the fact that i'm just not an overly sensitive person, but ummm...the whole dissing aspect has never been that serious to me.
Granted, I do enjoy shows that tend to have more info spitting becuz it shows the reflection of a thorough process, but dissing is expected...especially when it comes to fraternities. I just considered it to be a male ego thing. I don't hear people complaining about it when rappers do it on a daily basis :???:
