What do you guys think about black girls wearing weaves in their hair?
I personally have mixed feelings about it. I only will accept it if I have to guess if the girls hair is a weave. I hate to see girls with weaves that look like a weave because it looks way too terrible, and two dollarish.
yeah i get my eyebrows and my toes and my nails done too. i don't get fake nails though. nothing wrong with them just that my nails grow long and fast for some reason. oooh yall think i got some indian in me?
tant, why cant ya wear a fro to a wedding or prom, i wore my short fro to a wedding like some time ago and got mad compliments, and my friend on here also wore a gorgeous fro to her prom, i mean absolutely gorgeous (hi tomara lol)....i mean i dont think you were saying anything bad against the fro i hope, i think you were just stating your personal style choice if im not wrong..but dont hate on other women with the fro for special occasions lol
i only say that afro's arent "elegant" because i have yet to see one. true enough your friends hair for prom probaly was cute.......but the times i've see them worn on females.......they look like boys waiting for their hair to grow out so they can get braids..i mean if thats what u like to wear....more power to u......me personally....its not my style.
Sistahs lets not go after each others. Cali dude is the focus. Let me "tell" you something. I am a beautiful black sistah with a beautiful black brother. I get my hair, nails (they are real), and feet done religiously. I have a lot of pride within myself. I would still be fly if I chose to where my hair natural and not get my nails or feet done. The thing YOU fail to realize is that no one is thinking of YOU when they get "done up". I do it for me because it makes me feel good. You say black girls don't have any pride. Well if some don't , you are the cause. Bringing them down, because they aren't somebody else. 9 times out of 10, you aren't happy with yourself, that's why you have nothing better to than bring down beautiful black sistahs. You aren't worth our time, stay with the redbones. Obviously the perms done in Cali aren't right so maybe you need to go somewhere else before you make a generalization (I know it's a big word, so follow me).All them girls you see in the videos, including the redbones, have perms and weaves, so get real.
Last note: Remember no one is getting done up for YOU. Trust, you are probably the last thing that is on their minds when they are at the shop. :idea:
ok..i'm all for the natural look and all that....but when its time to get dressed up (example..prom or wedding) you want something that will lay down or fall just right...you dont want no afro! now you can say that you want all black women to be natural and blah blah blah....but these redbones you're talking about that you seem to love so much seem more to me of being white...because even my mixed friends have trouble with their hair...so the only women left that can get up and go without any type of mantenance are white girls. and the black girls that you see, in the area that you live in that have perms where they're hair is slicked back....seems like someone messed up...so blame it on the stylist. now me personally..i like to see my AFRICAN AMERICAN SISTAHS looking pull together and taking on the world with their hair held high because they know they look good...and to me : if you feel good about yourself...thats all that matters. regardless of how other people think of you...including you MR. CALIFORNIA~ because i'm pretty sure you wouldn't alter yourself for a female.

i really agree about the weaves and perms but in my opinion dark skin **** are **** especially the ones with the yellow eyes walking around looking like tar babies :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
HEY COMIN from A male point of view...i support all the ladies and what they do to make themselves look good....cause hell i spend time on myself...if it take a perm a weave...or whatever to get your hair lookin good then do that...me personally i like the hair to flow and be nice and bouncy and shimmerin....the natural..tha's just not my preference...and hey all the ladies out there...true i can tell a weave...sometimes i cant..but all the time i dont care ... long as it looks nice ya know...and hey nails are coo too...whtehr they acrylic or yours...whatever makes you happy then do that...so to my man talkin bout fellas dont like un natural...and all of us like natural...that aint true...i like CUTE...whether it be natural or not...preferably the not...lol...
