I think it depends on location...region...whatever...Because back home (Michigan)...dark skinned **** didn't get much play...I'm a **** of that...Soon as I stepped down south (Alabama, Georgia)...I have people telling me what they think of me...and it's positive..So, I think it's basically where you from...My perosnal opinion is that people from the West Coast are more open to different shades of color and race.

I donno....I kinda think the East is more open, and the south might be too. L.A. kids are brainwashed with the colorism, even though most are able to grow out of it. The light skinned kids get waaaaaaay more attention, and every once in a while, you might hear somebody say "I only talk to/date light skinned men/women" but it's not too often. Overall, adults usually are open to whatever complexion, but it doesn't happen until they get older.
I used to get clowned for bein too dark, and I reaaaally thought I was dark until I got to the south.
We (as a whole) have been brainwashed. Since when has the color of your skin been a style? Trust me, I understand having your preferences, but dag.
