Now I am even more nervous cause I thought that since I lived in PA maybe thats y my letter is taking a little longer but I saw someone from D.C. got accepted already. (Oh so nervous). I also saw on another forum that a girl turned down a full ride to UCLA and berkely and got accepted to georgetown, and spelman only gave her half tuition. So i'm even more nervous about getting in and getting scholarship cause I know I wasnt getting into UCLA, Georgetown, and berkely

Oh I live in the DC area and got my letter today. So maybe you will get urs tommorow. I suggest not counting on Spelman for money, but look at outside scholarships especially local and smaller scholarships. They add up

I live in Michigan so maybe I will get my letter tomorrow. But I kinda gave up on Spelman. I really REALLY looked past my strong desire to go there and I realized that for me its not worth being in $100,000+ worth of debt. Even though the field I want to go into is kinda recession-proof and well paying, I just don't feel like taking that kinda risk with my future. And then on top of having debt, you have four years of the constant worry ! Its getting harder and harder to get loans and even harder to pay them off. So unless they meet Howard's scholarship its pretty much a done deal.

that is ur decision and I respect that, but Howard is an excellent school as well and I know u will end up going to the place that u are destined to go.
