I think you did it the right way. I thought the April 1st date was the start date for counting everyone. 
I got 2 censuses....censi....census'...I got 2 of em in the mail last month and sent one back. I come home from out of town yesterday and what do I have in me mailbox?! Another census to fill out! 
I think I'm just gonna keep fillin em out until they stop sendin em. I would enter false data but I wanna be counted.

That is true. I heard they will visit your house up to six times. If they are unable to reach you on the sixth time, they will ask your neighbor about you.
