Mad Rhetoric

I got out of school in august and have been trying to find a job for a whole month; there has been no luck at all. Can anybody relate or empathize with a brotha; this is crazy.

::tap dance solo::: Spaaaz! I got me a second job yesterday...well that would be three jobs is I got paid to volunteer...but that's defeats the purpose of volunteering huh. Any ways **** BARRELL HOSTESS and stripper at sugarbears...  HAHA juss playing. No I work as a hostess at C.B. and a sales rep at a Men's department store. Still ain't paying me enough tho.

Hey Ya'll, Don't give up, there are plenty of job opportunities out there. I was getting frustrated as well, I have a degree and it's hard to find a job. But I had an interview with Chevy Chase Bank today, and it looks like they liked me cause I have a second interview on Tuesday, and if all goes well, I'll be working after I get back from my vacation in Hawaii (my graduation gift from my folks  ) But here are some good opportunities for summer jobs: Bank Teller - Don't laugh, these are good positions you can make from $9 - $12 an hour, most of them only require a high school diploma and most banks are hiring now. Check out Wachovia, SunTrust, Bank of America, Chevy Chase, South Trust, M&T, etc... Server - This is what most of my friends did while they were in college. If you serve at a nice restaurant (Cheesecake Factory, Houston's, Olive Garden, etc.) you can make a killing. And the beautiful thing about being a server is most of your money will come in tips (meaning you get to take cash home every night) Lifeguard - There are a grip of community pools, looking for lifeguards for the summer. From what I've heard the pay at these jobs are decent but of course you have to know how to swim and you have to know CPR and first aid and all that. Grocery Store Clerk - My first job in high school was at a grocery store. It was cool. Bagging groceries, helping people to their car, reshelving items, keeping the store clean, it's pretty easy. Check out Giant, Safeway, Kroger, Food Lion, Weiss, Winn Dixie, Piggly Wiggly, Publix, etc. Fast Food Worker - I know people clown on working at fast food places, but beggars can't be choosers, ya know? These jobs can definitely be rough on you and they usually pay like minimum wage, but you usually can get as many hours as you want and also free food. Plus it's not too bad if you get hired for a cashier position. UPS/Fedex Package Handler - They're always hiring and they pay well, the only thing is, this is some back breaking work. You pretty much spend all day loading and unloading heavy boxes. But it's good, if you're trying to get in shape though, lol.
