My fellow class of 08er's HOW ARE YALL FEELING???? Happy, relieved, stressed, worried, blank, confused..??? I know I for one thought this year was going to be the easiest year of my high chool career but.....I WAS WRONG . Its not even about the course load but the continuous preparation for college from the pressures of the standardized tests (ACT & SAT) to the anticipation of the applications already sent and if we are making the right choices in our pursuit of our post secondary education. So this is the spot to let it all out every drip drop of how your feeling right here and those who did early application submissions let us know where you got accepted and where you most definitely know you are going.
I'm not going to lie.... Im am soooo ready for HS to be over... but at the same time this year is tuff...ina way there is sooo much to do... school is ok i can do way better but i have seniorities now that we only have 3 months left.... im really nervous about college but i think i will be ok Hopefully I will be at Clark with some folks i kno.... thats the other hard thing trying to wait on ur fafsa money so u can narrow down the schools .... I cant wait for this to be over lol
is it true u dnt hear about ur fafsa money until about April-ishh.
or the "award letter" as they call it?..
well if thats true, then thats not good- i mean most colleges have may 1st as their deadline to tell them if u want to attend or not
I'm just ready 4 high school 2 b OVER W/ because I hate it! I made A-B Honor Roll (pure luck in AP Statistics...I h8 math....& science!) for the 1st time since the 10th grade, but I just take "naps" in mosta my classes & it just feels like I'm floating around school for NOTHING. We're already PAST senioritis...they needa quit makin seniors go thru the motions!!!! But I'm just w8n on my finan. aid package 4rm FAM & to file my new taxes so that I can correct my FAFSA. I'm also trying to meet scholarship deadlines...*sigh* & pay for Grad Bash, & I'm only slightly worried about prom right now...2 much!!!!
Imma have to start agreeing with you all because I dont know if its just me but now that I already got accepted to the schools of my choice and finalized where Im going my drive to strive for dem A's is dwindling down...but Im dragging my feet anyway........ Lil Wun I hear you on dat payin for Grad Bash event but yall shuda just gone to GRAD NITE dats where its at.....but newho toodles...I shud be doing hw ~1~
We chose 2 go 2 Grad Bash b/c Universal Studios is more fun & I didnt wanna go 2 no Disney ****, LOL...+ we wanted to go to the clubs! Grad Bash is gonna be a LOT more fun! But I'm past tired of high school!!!! I DAYDREAM about bein @ FAM!!!!
THIS YEAR NEEDS TO BE OVER! Man, people always said senior year is going to fly, guess what? It doesn't! Maybe if I wasn't waiting for acceptance letter anymore it would be going quicker. Everyone has responded back to me besides Hampton, and to be honest i really don't know if I can get it, I heard they are very, very selective. So I'm kind of nervous/stressed about that. Then I keep thinkin maybe there was a better college I should have applied to that would help me in my future. THEN I gotta do so many schaolarship essays but I also have my regular HW and projects to do. Honestly, this year has been driving me crazy. Lol ... May 30th is never gonna come it seems!

I filled out and completed my fasfa on jan 2nd but I have recived anything back from anywhere yet and is it a little different for private institutions like Johnson C. Smith or Clark.
I feel like T.I. (before house arrest) , lil kim (tha day after release) and Micheal Vick (the day he got his first pit bull) ... All bundled up in one...

yeahh i'm in the same boat as you ; i kept on wondering..okay soo wat happens after ur fafsa has been processed
but i researched and asked around to my teachers. fafsa use's ur SAR, either sent electronically or by mail to evalute ur financial aid. around april and may, the colleges send you an "award" letter basically telling you if they are awarding you money to pay for ur expenses [ie: room & board, tuition..]
and its paid through grants, work-study, loans, etc.
