I'm tryin to start a store for black college students by black college students. I'm gonna have black fashion designers come up with new creative styles that fit our bodies, style, and lifestyles. Anyway, I just wanna know what size everybody wears. That's why I started this poll.
I've been hearin for a long time that females have a hard time findin jeans that fit their overall body shape. Usually, it's because their **** to big(I'm in GA- Home of the Peach ****). Anyway, I've heard of "AppleBottom" Jeans comin out with styles for our extra-blessed sistas, so I wanna run with that idea.
SO LET ME KNOW WHAT SIZE JEANS FIT YOUR HIPS
Also, Ladies, What size shirt do you usually buy? What size jeans feel right on the rest of your body? What size of both do you usually end up buyin?
Fellas, I got a topic for yal too. It's called, "What's You Size Guys?"
oh, i hate stretch jeans....they make my hips look huge and my waist tiny, i look deformed.
anyways, i wear anywhere from 11-15, depending on the jeans....remember when i was a good 8/9....whoa, those were the days.
I wear a small in dresses, and an x-small in tee shirts. Majority of my clothes range from a 2-4. I am really petite but i have a waist and a ****, so in jeans, i have to get a 4-6. Unfortunately, i guess that's what i get for getting a korean mommy(small ****, petite frame), and my balck daddy(****, hips, and thighs). But, hope that info can be of service....
I'm small framed, but I got a huge hip to wast ratio for my framed size (36 inch hips 22 inch waist) . I usually wear a 5/6 sometimes a 3/4 depending on the material and how the jeans are made. These are all juniors sizes. I don't wear women sizes yet because I'm slim 120pounds, but all of my weight is in my hips and thighs. If they're tight fitting, I will need a stretch because my **** can not breath! Shirts wise I usually wear small.
Low rise tends to fit me best because they sit on the hips and I don't have to wear a belt. The thing is low rise is not always appropriate. Regular Jeans NEVER fit me right because of my shape but I know it's not my fault, it's designers' fault for making jeans to accomadate white straight up and down girls these days. Word of advice, when you start your fashion line make sure you make jeans to accomadate the hourglass figure, which most black/ethnic girls usually have.
Am I the only one not beleiving some of these females. :? Come on now yall we grown. Let me call some things out.
If you wear a size two sorry ma you aint got no **** . You cant get a reall **** in some size two jeans.
A 22 inch waist Either you are a eight year old boy or you are doing some X&M corsette type ****. 22 inchs come on now.
cosigns...me....34-27-38....and I have no hips..... I wear a 6...a 4 in dresses.........
i'm a 5-6 on the bottom and a 3-4 (small) at the top. By small I don't mean a 22 inch waist  , I mean not overly blessed in the chest department . . . oh well, no complaints yet 8)
^It really is. Your somatype has a lot to do with your body ratio and how fat is stored throughout. If you're genetically predisposed to a definite shape such as hourglass or spoon, no matter how fat or skinny you get, the ratio between your ****, waist and hips will always be the same. Marilyn Monroe was a size 16 with a 23 inch waist. It's more common than you think. Some people are born like that, others work hard to achieve it.
Im from South Carolina. And I have a small waist and some hips and a nice **** if I can say so. My aunts and my sisters are even bottom heavy. So yeah I do see it a lot. Maybe you just dont realize how small a 22 inch waist is. :?
