I think some of you are missing the point.Youre stating everything but the facts!!!Its not about what your parents told you,its about whats true in the word of GOD.I have asked several ministers and it is in fact a sin of the tongue.Well yall know how i feel so... :roll:
This discussion is so trivial...it's subject to interpretation...if you are truly saved and you truly love GOD, you wouldn't want to curse period. I understand that you may use them occassionally, but curse words shouldn't become a part of your daily vocabulary.
Who said they were cursed anyway??? Thats the problem, I means some curse words are simply degradation of actual techinal words. God never declared some words cursed, (dont believe he declared anything "cursed"), it was man that did that. So why should I follow man, and do so by saying God said it, I just dont get it. I mean growing up, I know some people who said **** was a curse word, **** was, so how decided which words were cursed and which ones not?????

God said evil rotten speech was. Are you saying the phrase "Damn, this is good," is evil and rotten? If so, how is **** any less evil than ****, heck less evil than hell or anything else like that.
Curse words are actually words in the dictionary that mean something but what makes curse words so bad is how people use them. Majority of the time people use profanity out of anger and it sometimes develops into an every day thing for some people. You can't really say there isn't nothing wrong with cursing because in reality they are harsh words that are used quite badly. When you use these words in bad ways than that is when it becomes wrong. I mean listen to how it really sounds when all that comes out of a person mouth is curse words it does not sound very intelligent at all it sounds quite ignorant. Yes, certain curse words are used but like I have said, it is how we blow them out of content and use the wrongly. Like saying some one is an A**, something would tell me that is not right. In the bible it speaks of a donkey being a **** but it is not refering to anybody or anything else. This is the difference. I don't curse because these words are harsh to me, even though they are in a dictionary they still in some kind of way bring anger or ignorance. I see it like this I am an intelligent black women and I don't need to use profanity, but that is just my oppinion.
But how do we KNOW.....in tha word it says don't use **** language towards anybody....There were never any words deemed ****.....its just how you use them......last time I checked **** meant "Crudely Indecent"......with Crude meaning "blunt or offensive" and indecent meaning "Offensive to public moral values".......just my 2 cents...
