To all the memebers of aka sorority at NC A&T i was wondering if you all were on the yard and able to have a "line" in the near future...i heard from some friends that you all were not on the yard and i heard from some that you were. I want to know whats up? I look foward to hearing from yall.
I thought the way MTV's last "Sorority Girls" did thier pledging process was good. I feel you can find out who's will be more dedicated by "point system" rather then torturing someone. Why risk cases like what happened in Cali?
I agree. Reading the article about the girls in Cali drowning has definitely made me think about what i would be willing to do and not do during any "pledging" period.
WHAT EXACTLY IS A NEO? I HAVE BEEN HEARING THAT FOR THE LONGEST TME BUT I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS. PLEASE EXPLAIN......
A Neo is short for Neophyte, which means a member of an organization who has not crossed another line under them, or (in some places) a person that has not been in the organization a year yet.
After being a "neo", the person moves on to being a Prophyte.
I want to pledge AKA at FAMU. I heard u need a recommendation letter from an active AKA which is sort of hard to accomplish when I'm not suppose to let anyone know what I want to pledge b/c of that I haven't even tried to develop a relationship with any of the current members. I don't want to wait til next year

Sweetheart, you have ALOT of research to do. How can you be a member of a sorority (please look up the textbook meaning of sorority) if you haven't tried to develop a relationship with any of the members? When your campus has a formal rush or tea, you will be informed of all information they need to consider you a candidate for membership. Until then, RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH and get to know my Sorors on your campus. They have to know you're worthy of our sisterhood and thus, worthy of their vote. Til then, forget what you "heard."
