am i the only one who has a problem with crying?? since puberty i have only cried in front of other people like 2-3 times.... twice for football and graduation a little bit... I would not even allow myself to cry at my grandfather's funeral... i think it comes from the way i was raised.... my dad always raised me to be tough and crying was considered a sign of weakness... I have only seen my dad cry once and i never saw my grandad cry.. not even on his deathbed.... I guess the way i was raised..there were just certain things that a real man was not supposed to do and crying was one of them...I don't cry and i don't like to be around people when they crying...I have never cried at a funeral...so how do u feel about crying
I never want people to see me cry cuz for some reason i don't want them to think they got to me. I NEVER EVER cried over a boy though. He'd never get my tears. I ran hard enough to where water was coming out of my eyes and snot was running out my nose but I wasn't crying. I didn't cry at graduation either.
I cry at movies sometimes and you can tell when i try to hold it back. I cried at the only funeral I went to. And when i was younfer i used to cry when I was about to get my **** whooped, even when my mama gave me that look.
There may be some gender role issues at play here.
Crying is a healthy expression, I agree with you on that, but since many men can't discern between "the right time and the wrong time" to cry, we either are "crybabies" or "too hard". It can be very difficult for a man to find that balance. Generally men live in extremes, that is either displaying one type of characteristic or the complete opposite. That's why those who don't cry much, just don't. And those who cry all the time, generally do.
there's a difference between not crying because you are afriad to appear weak and not crying because it is just not an emotion you experience often, when someone tells a joke some people laugh and some people dont, in certain situations some people cry and some people dont, "weakness" has nothing to do with it, there are big dudes who will cry while beating yo ****
