i'm a AKA debutante. we had our ball in november. it was a good experience. i loved every minute of it. i recommend for every body to try it but u can only be a senior in high school
I was a Deb for the Mu Chi Zeta Graduate Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta, INC. I 'ont know where ya'll get this deb-in-waitin business from. We do it an entirely different way from ya'll. We got our letters and attended tha info meetin in March of my 11th grade year. Payed $100 dollars when we decided to be in it. Sold ads to determine the winner of Ms. Debutante and attended meetings. Ours was tight tho...we had about 15 gurls. The escorts were pretty damn fine!!! Afterwards there was a party and all of our friends showed up. Being that I'm an Arkee...we stayed around and did out struts...then me and my escort dipped because it was our First One year anniversary...so all in all...it was a pretty good night...MY ADVICE: DON'T DO BOOTLEGG!!! PLEASE DON'T DO IT...If you decided to be a Deb do some research and go to the right one or you will be seriously dissappointed!!!

IT WAS MY CHURCH'S THE CHRISTIAN PRESENTATION SCHOLAR BALL ....I PAYED $100 BUCKS....THEY INTRODUCED BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS, THAT WERE JUNIORS AND SENIORS IN HIGH SCHOOL.... NO WE DIDN'T CHOICE OUR ESCORTS THE BOYS WHO WERE IN IT WERE OUR ESCORTS.....IT WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD....I MADE NEW FRIENDS..... WE HAD KING, QUEEN, AND 2 PRINCESSES...NO PRINCES... I GOT 1ST PRINCESS.WE HAD TO GO AROUND ASKING FOR ADS FOR YOUR MEMORY BOOK AND WHAT EVER AMOUNT OF MONEY U MADE U KEPT... I EARNED OVER 1,500... AND THE CHURCH SAVES THAT FOR YOUR COLLEGE FUND AND THEY ALSO GIVE U A SCHOLARSHIP....IF U HAVEN'T PARTICIPATED.... IN A DEBUTANTE BALL U SHOULD, IT IS A VERY POWERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL CEREMONY......IF I COULD I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER........
I am an Alpha Pearls Debutante for the Phi Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and our cotillion is on March 6, 2004. My experience has been great so far, especcially since my best friend and I are both in the program. I have a question for my fellow debs: Is your boyfriend your escort or did you choose a good friend?
Just an update on my cotillion :arrow: We had a great time & I was voted Miss Congeniality & my best friend was 2nd runner up!!
