HOWARD UNIVERSITY The ONLY HBCU to rank in the 2005 US News Report Best College Rankings I love my HU
Lol...Spelman and Morehouse are up there too!!! and may I point out...Morehouse is the only HBCU to be on the top 25 schools to feeder to the top Grad schools in the WORLD!! Not America but the WORLD!!!
::tucks his Howard keychain into his pocket and out of sight:: Leave it to ya'll to see ya'll name on a list and not look at the title of the ranking. Ya'll are like number 90 on the list of american universities. And not even out of all the universities, just a sub category of universities. Ya'll could never take morehouse or even spelman on academics when trying to rank against us. Thats why if ya'll made it into harvard graduate schools or yale, princeton, etc. then you'll notice that more than 50% of african american students, considering both male and female, are morehouse alumni. look it up
COSIGN!!!!!!!! Where not called Morehouse Mafia on Walstreet for nothing In fact when top grad schools or fortune 500 companies come looking for black students to work for them; they come to Morehouse and Spelman!!! ALWAYS!! Not howard, not hampton, not NC A&T....ALWAYS MOREHOUSE AND SPELMAN....it's a proven fact!!
I know this post is old as hell but when I saw this uninformed mess, I had to pause and think about what type of idiot would spew such trash? My conclusion, George W. Bush. Anyway, as far as job recruitment and graduate school acceptance Howard competes with the best and outclasses many. Howard University students are involved with Fortune 500 Companies from the first day they step onto campus. Many accept employment with these companies. Howard University students are present at many of the 'prestigious' graduate programs. The difference is, unlike Morehouse students, Howard students are not loud and obnoxious about where they did their undergraduate studies. Howard Students are more diverse in their perspective and choose a variety of institutions. Not just one or two institutions because they know a gang of people there. Lastly, I love my HU. Don't open your mouth about it unless you have experienced it. And that's real.

Seems like the smaller HBCU's don't get enough credit for the hard work and good things we do

i somewhat agree with the list but i have just one little question.... why are Duke and Harvard even on the list when they are two of the HARDEST schools for black ppl to get into...yea..they might be all prestige...but dont you think they should add schools with more than 5% of black people if its supposed to be good for them :?: :!: :?:
I agree that they should pick schools with a higher percentage of African Americans, but I don't think these school are hard for African Americans, there just boring and we choose to have a social life. I think for some of the schools on this list they just go buy reputation instead of really looking into what the school provides to help African American students succeed.
