Lol...I just decided to make a spinoff post in regards to that girl who asked about whites being at an HBCU. I wonder if I am the only person who feels this way, but I would like to make some friends of other ethnicities...Dont get me wrong, I LOVE attending an HBCU and being around my black people...but sometimes, I get tired of being around JUST n*ggas. I mean granted, I do see white folks in my classes and around campus but I just havent had the opportunity to make some good friends outside of my race...Like when I was at home...I had some white friends I was real tight with...and I kinda miss that. I wanna join the only multicultural sorority on campus, but you cant pledge a regular BGLO if you do...SO that kinda out the question...
But just curious to know if anyone could see where Im coming from with this...
Well I growing up in South Carolina..it aint no Civil rights Days. But white people are open racists here, and you have alot of sneaky folk. You find out that people you grew up around your whole life really are racist and dont like you. Take for instant the white girl cameron that was on Real World last year. How she referred to that when she get back home she wont say **** no more or make black jokes because she has met a good black person Jacques. Thats ridiculous. She went to the same school I did and rival high school . But I aint surprise cuz white folk are dirty.
That is why I think ODU is the best school EVER. It has the same amout of blacks as Hampton, yet it still has that white crowd whereby if you want to be 'down' with the whites---you can be down and still have black friends.
I dont want to be down with them evil crackas...I just ignore them :twisted:
you know the first people who complimented my hair were white people when i cut it off or when i tried temporary dreads, or who always encouraged me to dress differently...cause it certainly wasnt black people....especially black men...but thats offtopic :roll:
That's true...everytime I had my hair done, people would ask if that was my real hair, or if I had taken off my braids they'd ask if I had cut my hair...and it's true that white people do compliment my hair but so does my black friends.

well....i go to a predominately white school....so i have many white friends....and of course i got plenty of black friends....its a whole different ball game between the two....its different...but i love it...it makes me feel better.....cuz see....my black friend are always worried about the latest trends...sneakers....all this materialistic stuff....and i mean yeah i like sneakers...but they take it to the extreme to where i get tired of doing that all day.....but when im with my white friends...i find myself able to kick back and relax and really just be 'me'....granted not ALL my black friends are like that.....but...the majority....i find that interesting actually...
