Why would Serena’s attitude & persona in the eye of the public differ from that which we see on the tennis court?
On the court, is Serena not daring, headstrong and did not follow the norms? I think her dress speaks Serena—Bodacious, Daring, Alluring and dangerous to those who have not studied their opponent.
For some us, yes, Serena’s attire is, shall we say, Risqué; however, I cannot picture Serena garbed in anything that would appeal to her sister, Venus. The sisters are two faces of one coin, each beautiful in their own way.
But…if my little sister left the house in that red get-up—I would stalk and beat her @ss.
