My thing tho with the Greeks tho is, is it really necessary to be that arrogant??? " we have something they want and ill respond however i want and blah blah blah. "
I had a nice and syrupy sweet response prepared. That damned Infiniti ad reloaded and jacked it up. So what you will get is an abbreviated less PC version. My problem is with questions like "What should I pledge?" or "Which is better Kappa or Omega?" or even posts like:

Hello SG I'm a sophomore this year and I decided that next year will be the year I pledge. I have a 3.7 GPA, and I've been on the Dean's list every semester. What I need from you all is this: Give me 3 good reasons why I should choose your fraternity? How long is your pledge process, and what does it involve? How many parties per semester does your frat throw? How much does it cost to join your fraternity
These are stupid **** questions. Period. No one started off a "Free Post" marathon up in here but I'm sure a lot of folks would have jumped right on in if someone had. GDI's react by saying that we are rude when we respond to stupid threads. Most of you would "Free Post" in a thread posted anywhere else on HBCUconnect, but wanna defend stupid threads when it comes to the "Greek Fam" board. Why is it that GDI's can go off posters in other threads and expect Greeks to acquiesce in instances where the question is truly asinine?

Granted, I get tired of the silly questions of " what should I pledge? " but some people really are ignorant to greek life and do not understand and know their is a correct protocal to researching information...
Take your feelings and multiply them hundredfold. Only then could you begin to grasp our frustration with these questions.

Im not justifying those questions being asked, but for the Greeks on here, remember at one point in time, you were where she is sitting at right now...YOU may have known not to come out and just ask certain things, but its important to educate and clear any ignorances on her part so she knows better next time.
I want people to be ignorant of certain things. Greek Life is not trite or for everyone. It most certainly isn't trivia to be offered up to the masses. As a MOD of several Greek boards here is a message that I use:

Greek Life can be confusing looking from the outside in. It's not easy to explain. It's simply something that you have to live and love but in the end come to your own conclusion after you are a duly initiated member. More often than not Uninitiated Individuals make ASSumptions based on what they see rather than approaching people they know first hand for answers. Many of you Interests reading this have valid questions. I urge you to first and foremost interact with Men and Women who belong to Greek Letter Organizations that may live, work or be available where you are. It's crucial that you share your inquiry with someone who you feel will recieve your questions with sensitivity and remain confidential with outcome of your conversation. Simply Greek is NOT a representative sample of Greek Life. While we all respresent our various Greek Letter Organizations, we all were, and will remain individuals before the letters. Thoughts, Opinions and Comments shared here represent less than a tenth of who each person really is in their everyday walk. Our talents, intellect, community service efforts and impact on the world around us is apparent to those with whom we have a personal relationship. If you still desire to post your questions in open forum by all means please do. However I, personally, am available and willing to give you a direct answer to any sincere membership question you should have. Simply click here and send me a PM
Greek Fam needs it's own usergroup in order to streamline the discussions. Anyone can read through the messages but they can't post if they aren't part of the usergroup. All users can join but will only be granted access after they've been given some information about the Greek Fam forum.

I think Greek Fam should be private because what else are Non-Greeks, or GDI's (can I even say these term) are going to comment on besides "Tell me about your organization or Which sorority/fraternity?" type question since Non-greeks, according to OooDatDude, shouldn't really have anything to say, Greek-wise, because you're non-Greek.
