That's right Rod, teach the masses about that good go-go music! I never knew so many people disliked, hell how many people HATED on go-go 'til I hit the AUC. That made me appreciate it sooo much more--having to defend it. Shoot, I even did my informative speech in speech class about the history&evolution of go-go music. :wink:
My Theory: If you like Doin' Tha **** then in even the smallest sense, you like go-go. Cuz it's like the grandfather to the gogo you hear now. And I aint met a Black person yet that did NOT like Doin' Tha ****. I rest my case.

It took me a while to get into the whole Go-go thing. Then I tried to holla at this Urea girl. I bet you I knew something about it then. Seriously, though, I heard through a teacher back at my high school that back in the day, everybody was pretty much into go-go and I'm from Detroit originally. It wasn't just about "Doin the ****," but that was the heat.
GO-GO fukin ROCKS!! I basically grew up on this (since i was 7) cuz i kinda grew up in the "Urea" so i luvv me some go-go. Yea i do hate how some people down in the 757 dont give go-go any luv, but thats alright-i still play it in my car, in my room-on my computer- there are enough DC metro people here at VCU for them to play a good 45min of go-go at the parties tho.My fav bands are BYB, RE (specially for that pieces song), UCB, Suttle Thoughts, Raw Image and NEG.
i dont like....being hearing it for bout 2 yrs and still hasnt grown on me. maybe one day. when it comes on at parties all da down south people sit down or leave.
