I just got done watching Dr. Phil...which is rare, but newho, i found the topic kind of interesting. It was about this secret polygamy society in Colorado City. They are the very extreme of conservative and believe many of the traditions that they follow and beliefs that they hold are through the will of God. One woman was married to a man that has 15 wives. Most of them on average have about 6 children with him. That's about 90 children ya'll . The wife was very content with the situation and says that she loves her family (yeah...all 200 of dem peeps). Ya'll can call that polygamy if u want...but it sounds like PIMPIN to me.
Then there are the "lost" ones. Those are children/teenagers that managed to escape out of the society and start new lives for themselves. Two teenage girls had to re-educate themselves because their education level stopped at elementry school. They were used to be very submissive and always doing for others. Not to mention they are quite timid and fearful of guys. One of the girls stated "I really don't want to be bothered with boys right now. I think they are one of the most stressful things on the planet". Now that was one of the realest statements i heard throughtout the whole show
And guys...don't think you're left out of the loop either. A few of the young guys "escaped" as well. One boy ran away at the age of 14 with nothing but the clothes on his back. He was not allowed to play any sports becuz it was seen as "prideful". One guy was kicked out at the age of 18 because he kissed a girl that he was in love with.
I'm not one to knock the religion of others...to each his own. But like i said...i know pimpin when i see it
U know what, some of yall saying "in the Bible this, in the Bible that". Mayne use common sense that God gave u. If something is not what Jesus Christ would do it is a sin and there is no debating that unless u aren't a true Christian
I can't speak for anyone else mayne, but that wasn't what i was talkin bout the Bible for. I was just saying that you can accept something without actually liking it.

But since you brought that up tho. Yeah, you're right about that, they are sins. But if God has any fairness and justice in him, which I believe he does. He can't apply the same rules to everyone. And I've been taught that he doesn't. If you've grown up being taught that something is fine and accepted, how can Jesus blame you for sinning when you weren't taught it was evil? It's just like a baby who stabs his father in the eye with a ****. The baby dies a minute later for some random reason, obviously without repenting. Do you think the baby wouldn't go to Heaven? The child didn't know any better. That's how I was taught in Christian schools how God judges people, which I think is the only way to truly be a fair God.

I am not even speaking on whether or not God judges them right or wrong. All I am saying is that in my eyes it is wrong. And for some people that want to say it is ok or whatever and they are Christian, they should think about whether or not it is a sin based on whether or not Jesus would do it or not.

True...
and thats most true because God doesnt judge anyone for being ignorant to His Word...You can only be held responsible until you actually know and CHOOSE not to follow...If you know and choose not to follow then thats another thing. But I believe that God puts someone in everyones life at one time or another to speak of Him where you have the opportunity to know God...but if for some reason someone never knew of God and His goodness and what he has done for us...I dont think God would judge them the same way he would judge me..I would be held more accountable because I know what is right and wrong in His eyes and have been raised to know Him, unlike someone who never knew of Him at all...makes sense?

Aite, I see what you're saying. You're speaking to Christians on their viewpoint on the other people's situations, and i'm defending the people who actually are doing these things.
Oh yeah and Mila. I didn't remember the actual name of what i was talking about until you talked about knowing and choosing. That's free will.
