I go to Virginia State University,and i'm a loyal son of the blue and orange. And I hear so many people talking about how much it **** and nobody wants to go there, and i also heard people from Norfolk State University talk about that they are the real state university. Now if any one knows there history Va State was established before for Norfolk State. First it was apart of Va Union and the was part of Va State and was called Little State in the shadow of Va State which was Big State. I just want everyone to let me know what they think holla at your boy.

UVA=best in country
VCU=they aiight but ehh...their crowded and all
GMU & JMU= pretty good
William & Mary=Private but real good nonetheless

theres a no name black school in va not worth mentioning
Virginia State= i don't even know but i like their colors and their stadium BUT too far north and reputation not that good really
Norfolk State= rising reputation but still not that glamorous i hear they do have several good programs though
Sooo....if i was goin 2 pick i would choose NSU out of the two...but really ECSU would be just as cheap even at out of state rates and is known as better academically isn't it?? :roll:

To be honest, nether Norfolk or VSU are elite. Truth of the matter is that there isn't any HBCUs that are taken seriously. The only three HBCUs that are considered elite is Morehouse, Spelman, and Howard University.
FAMU, A&T, and even Hampton are not considered the best black colleges. I did a research paper on HBCUs and the only ones that are classified with mainstream schools are Howard, Spelman, and Morehouse. All those other institutions have lot of problems....more problems than they should have.
Virginia State University is the best, the only State Schoo in VA! Trojans are always ahead of the game, and it will always be that way.

Problems? What Kind of problems??? The only reason why Howard is considered "elite" is b/c they have popular alumni and a lot of greek organizations were founded there....But if you look it up, Howard, Spelman and Morehouse etc are on the same academic scale as...A&T, VAState, Union, Bennet, NCCentral etc.....in all honesty there is nothing 'elite' about those schools....to be at an HBCU period is Elite, it is like no other.....that is just the "white man" saying those schools are elite...lol.....HBCUs, gotta love em

VCU- Is a school for foriegners not an hbcu and it's not a state school
****- It's a white school and it's not a state school
UVA- Is a white school and not State funded
VA TECH- Is not an hbcu , but it is state funded
ODU- Is neither hbcu, nor a state funded school
and if i did mention your school it won't worth mentioning

Um let me touch a little bases-i thought the forum said the best STATE school in VA-not an HBCU or private school......right? Now the lovely, and yes a lil crowded, but great school i go to is VCU and yes IT IS, i repeat, IT IS funded by the state, other wise it would be a private school :roll: . And someone who goes to VIRGINIA STATE has the nerve to say MY school is for foreigners?? It's ok, maybe he couldnt get into VCU, its alright-but let me jus say my school is not for only foreigners-anyone who wants to excel, is at VCU. Im glad i chose to go here, if i want the HBCU experience, trust i get it-and u cant say i dont because u dont go here-and when i get tired i get a lil pinch of what its like to go to a "white" school-and plus i go to a nationally recognized school-with standards under the best school in the state (UVA)...........what can i say............V>>C>>>U I love it, I love it, I love it! :lol:
