I have known for years which organization I want to be a part of, so I was upset upon my arrival to college to find that they have been suspended from my campus.
After over 5 years, they are finally coming back to my school! I was so excited to see that they had posted a meeting flyer.
I went to the meeting (close to 400 damn aspirants )Now that they are coming back it looks like the first line will be paper :sad: And I will have graduated by the time the next chance to apply comes around.
I'm torn because I was looking forwrd to the whole pledge experience. But I truly do love the organization and would want to be a part of it either way. Would you have applied for your organization if you knew that there would be no line?

I thought you were gone from HBCU Connect! I guess not. Anyway, you are a wannabe. I haven't seen you, not one time, reveal on these discussion boards what Greek org you are affiliated with. So that makes me think you are telling lies. Every person, who is Greek, on these boards always reveal what org they are a part of. Most of the time they even write in the color of their orgs. I can even tell you the people who are Greek, who post on here frequently, what Greek org they are part of. For example: Cnels- Alpha, Bro P.-former Que, AKAtude-AKA, Soundcheck-Mason, Blutifully Human-Zeta, Manifest Destiny-Delta, and the Truth-????? So anyway like I said before you are the GDI. I have never met a guy so catty acting. For the longest, I thought you were a female. I was really surprised when I found out you were a guy.
In your eyes, what does the paper process consist of that makes you believe it's too much?
Too me I've heard many things that the word "Paper" can mean when pledging..I've heard that it's when a Sorority/Fraternity gets suspended there for you can't pledge, I've heard it meant that they don'tdo much while on line (Hazing..and whatnot)..people have told me several times that you are also considerd paper if your only on lin for less then 72 hours, so that's why I said it was too much, but in all I have no idea what it actually is...
pledgin aint easy.................and paper is sort of like MC Lyte without the fame ...
ya dig either way you will laugh you will cry and you will kiss a 1000 dollars goodbye. famous people usually dont pledge cuz they famous but you will get no respect from the underground. the old people and other paper members will be real cool but they dont stroll.

this statement is not supporting hazing it is telling the truth about being hazed versus being paper versus looking in from the outside.
If you are christian ,which i do believe you are my sister in Jesus Christ, and decided to join a sorority then you would have to be paper because hazing is against the law of the land and against the policy of all the so called divine nine bglo's.
as far as denouncing if you are not saved i am not worried about your org affiliation you could be a aka , delta , baptist or ame i just want to tell you about Yahshua and his awesome love

What made me question your beliefs toward hazing, is that you asked me which one was I? (paper,etc.). I don't understand why a chapter would risk hazing people because they can get in a lot of trouble. They risk getting charged fines by nationals, their chapter suspended for years, and possibly charges pressed against them. It isn't worth someone going to jail just because they want to make potential members real. That to me is just plain out foolishness but hey to each its' own.
I already know the conflicts between God's word and the secret societies such as BGLO's and Masonic orgs. You don't have to tell me those things. Hazing definitely goes against God's commandments, and taking oaths also.

Honestly, after encountering so many people with bad attitudes that are in Greek orgs, it is making me reconsider joining any org. They all appear to be brain washed, and they all have the same mentality. It is not only the young members of these BGLO's it is the older one's too. I don't know what spirit it is, but it has the members brainwashed. I don't really know if I want to be a part of a clique of people. I have always been an independent person and never had to be a part of a clique. Also, I have always been a free thinker, and I notice that a lot of people in these Greek orgs aren't free thinkers. They have a herd mentality and they always go on what someone tells them, and never stop to question a thing. There are many people, that are Christians, that are denouncing their letters and not having anything to do with these Greek orgs. So I'm actually reconsidering joining. I can use that thousand dollars toward a business ideal or investing it into a mutual fund,etc. People like Donald Trump and Oprah Winfrey, aren't wasting their money on these type of orgs. They are donating it to charity and actually doing something with their money to help people. I am going to be as wealthy as Oprah and Donald Trump, so I don't know if I need that label of a Greek org on me when I make my billions. I don't want them saying, "Oh, she's a part of our org." After I make my billions, I don't want any Greek org labeling me! LOL
