Whats up fellas. My school doesn't have a fraternity yet but I hope to transfer to Norfolk State University and join one. Now...whats the low down with them? What are they called? What did you have to do to get in one? Do you regret it? Do your "brothers" really have your back? LETS WORK PEOPLE!

I got my sh!t and worked damn hard to get it. So if I (or any other Greeks) come off rude, go cry in a pillow or something because we take this thing very seriously. Yea we may laugh and joke on the boards about this that and the third, but for those of us that took that journey and crossed those sands, we don't want people thinking they can say whatever they feel like because I personally feel that you're not on my level. But hey, if anyone has taken offense....ah well.

As for the quotation I kindly put in bold: Where's the laughing and joking you speak of? Be easy. Nobody questioned how hard you worked for your letters. Any self-respecting person of any organization would have worked (and still continue to work 8) ) for their letters. It's not like he said XYZ organization does nothing and they don't work hard for their letters. He asked a simple question. If you couldn't give him a helpful response then maybe you should have reconsider clicking that "submit" button. But, hey...it's your choice I guess :roll: :arrow:

If pledging an org is your only reason for transferring schools, you really need to evaluate your reason for going to college in the first place. Being greek is somewhat like the icing on the cake (all cake is not meant to have icing on it, if you know what i mean). It just "enhances" the overall college experience.

Okay u sound really ignorant and uneducated about what a fraternity is .. Ima need you to do some research about all the different fraternities (If ur planning on joining a pan hellenic one) and then get on whatever campus has them and see where u fit in and who u would be most comfortable with .. Until then .. DO MAJOR RESEARCH .. Cuz from the sounds of it u want something that u know absolutely nothing about
Once again, another non-active listener/ reader. How do I sound ignorant when I am, in fact, asking the question and not answering them. And what the hell is so ignorant about acknowledging that one must go through SOMETHING to get in? Some do regret it. I'd be ignorant if I said something like "what did they burn you with" or "did the bruises go away". You seem to be the one in need of doing the research...meaning read what I ask, not conjering up your own suspicions.

I mean obviously he knows he is ignorant to it thats why he was asking. And dont you think coming on a messgae board under a screenname asking about Greeks about how frats are is apart of researching. I mean, you cant get EVERYTHING out of a damn book. Its nice to hear things from the sources ( the greeks ). And its not like he was saying he was gonna pledge so and so frat. He was just asking about GENERAL information.
