I really want to move back home down south (Birmingham, AL). I went there to see my family last month and DID NOT want to leave (i cried at the airport & half the flight home....lol). Either there or back to my other home in Northern VA. I am so sick of the 757 and Richmond is a mess, so I know i wont stay in either of those places after I graduate.
I got folks in b-ham and surrounding areas (Gardendale, Leeds, Hoover, Ensley, Talladega, and I know somebody from Eutaw AL).
It really is a beautiful area. I wouldn't mind settling into my TV career in Birmingham!
Yes i love the Ham, i'm from ****-ville (Titusville), but i got fam in Irondale, Homewood, Montgomery-but i like B'Ham the best, i cant wait to go back over the summer. :-D
WOW ALabama to me comes of as this hick mobile home type of state but its sooo much different down there Im wondering why u didnt go to talladega or Grambling tuskegee those are all GOOD HBCU'S in AL you didnt have to suffer in VA lol thats what it seems like maybe u wil ltransfer and feel a whole lot better about things I would go to Hampton but Im tired of 757 area living I want to try something new u kno so that s why my fall school is three states down
Oh no, B'Ham is far from country..lol. My people live IN the city, like downtown-next-to-projects type living. The 757 is ok, but i like the Metro area, Northern Va ALOT better. I should have went to school in AL w/ my cousins, but to transfer now would be a mid life crisis. I have to many credits at VCU and this is my 3rd year, and to transfer now, I know would set me back even farther.

I dont know why people are STILL (after all these years) sleeping on Alabama!! Especially Huntsville...where I was born and raised.
This may not be the most club-happy city around, but it's a damn beautiful area, and it's got a LOT of good jobs. The cost of living is LOW LOW LOW, and property values on homes are on the rise due to Redstone Arsenal gaining jobs from the Base Realignment decision in 2005.
City officials are predicting at least another 5-8 THOUSAND extra people are moving here next year.

it's like LA minus all the crazy celebrities and ****...it's a very very PLAIN city....but it's on the grow. it's gonna be the next great american metroplis...the next LA, Chicago....
plus it's freeways are perfect! 1 HOV lane, and 5 other lanes.....ligth rail! everything! big sports!!!!
plus, NO DUMB SOUTHERN PEOPLE! black, or white....both **** me off equally. i love people from east of the mississipi...so innnocent and naive....
plus, it a DRY heat!
