exaclty. All dumb stereotypes. Mostly spread by GDI's tryna start some mess. The same thing happened with the K's on my yard. they didnt even want a 85 girl line, they only wanted 30 and the thirty that they chose i heard were on point and smart too. But grad chapter stepped in and made them accept more females b/c dumb broads wanna call nationals. if they dont want u, try again, if u get rejected twice, they probably dont want u
I HATE seeing graduate chapters do that to undergraduate chapters. I'm in a grad chapter now, but we seldom interfere with the undergrads and their process, unless they've been hazing. I have seen sororities add thirty and forty women to lines. And it ALWAYS causes problems.
This past year, the alumni chapter of a sorority added about 11 or 12 new girls at the last minute (a few days before the coming out show) and these girls did not step in the probate and were publicly disrespected during the probate.
What do you all think about this?
Well we dont have any AKAs on our yard as of right now .. We dont even have a grad chapter here .. They all (Under&Grad) graduated in 2003 but we do have active members who work at our school. I think they are going to put together a line but I kind of feel bad for the AKAs who will pledge under them because Im sure they wont haze .. Especially since one of them is over the NPHC at our school. Im not trying to make hazing sound like its a wonderful thing but sometimes when u have to sacrifice I think it makes u appreciate it more.

Wow, thats something. Grad chapters are getting ridiculous with that. All they care about is money now. Pledging is a privelege, not something that just anybody can join. I heard One AKA on here say that they had 300 girls at their rush and her line was nowhere near 100 and i think thats good. selectiveness. Other girls will see that and then know that it isnt an organization u can just easily get into. Most girls would probably choose something easier to join, but others will keep on trying b/c they want it and only it
That was me, a little over 300 came to our rush but only 28 of us crossed. I don't see the point in having undergrad intake if the grad chapter is going to do everything. Only if there has been reported hazing should grad chapter step in, just my opinion. 8)
Same here Soror. We had almost 200 girls rush and only 28 were accepted. Even though the school had a cap of 40 the cap was not filled and I am so happy that it wasn't. Most of the girls in attendance at Rush just knew they had it in the bag and then they got mad when they found out the cap wasn't filled and all hell broke lose. They automatically assumed that the cap would be filled but they don't realize membership is a priviledge not a right. Lucky for us we have an excellent grad advisor and dedicated members to the chapter!

:?
Your line name should be given to you by your big brothers/sisters, and it should reflect what they thought of you during your process or some personality characteristic that they like about you. You can choose an ALIAS.
For example, my line name is Ussimatre, which means "He who is the keeper of truth is the son of Ra". WileECoyote was my ALIAS; and he gave me that as well.
If you give yourselves names you'd get silly things like "Red - this" and AKA-that, and Cold - this, and Pretty - that.
If you weren't assigned a line name, you really don't deserve to have one.
For my line we made up our own line names. But even if they give you a trifing line name you dont have to put that mess on your jacket. Girl please, Sh*t you paid for it.
