*sits in the lobby with everyone, looking around with a ball in his hand* Pretend you all were my best friends and I was dying in a hospital. Every day I feel the most excrutiating pain that I could popssibly ever go through, and you all see me sufferent day in and out. One day you come while the nurse is out and I ask, Please...Can you...pull the plug? Would you do it for me? Could you commit euthanasia on someone to end their suffering?

I think that there are generational curses that plague several African-American families and in return, entire communities are affected... :x

Well, if it only happens to select individuals then its more of a problem (serious one) than oppresion, because when oppression is classified (in my mind and other sources as well) as something a large group of people does to keep people from rising, like when you opress an object you push it downwards. Now, I can admit that even though black crime has gone down 20% and coverage has gone up 200% (not helpful to our community at all), we cant say that that is Opression. I think its our job to help inform the weak minds of our communities and enable them to do what we know they can, because inside each of us is the ability to do the greatest good. If we were truly oppressed, thered be no way out.

But we were oppressed at one point is the problem that continues to haunt us. I wouldn't say that we are oppressed now, but the circumstances of our past still looms over our heads. I'm just happy to see progress. That's positive to me.

sorry i didnt read anybody elses opinions... i just dont care... but anyway... I think the impression is put on ourselves... What do I mean by this? I mean we work for the individual and dont work for the collective whole, instead of "teaching the man to fish" or "giving the man a fish" we take the third option, we tell him to watch us, then we get the fish sell it on ebay and buy an escalade with 20 inch rims, then we turn around and say "if i could do it, you can too, i aint gon help you, sorry foo" plus we're all about the flash and the cash and dont forget about that ****....
