To all my Love Muffins ( I watch too much B. Scott ) I wouldn't really be concerned with money. You could take out a loan. and search for scholarships to help as well. don't worry ladies, everything is gonna be o.k. trust me. My parents combined income is still 10,000 bucks short of a year at Spelman !!!! ( simply put !!! WE BROKE !! ! ) but that's the least of my worries. I'm more concerned about living in Atlanta ( I'm a young country gal ) ain't really use the city !!!!

Thanks Cammie and TSUblue! Courtnie, yeah I understand there are loans but at the same time with the way the economy is going, it would be hard to find a good job after graduation to pay all of that back, and you don't want to be in debt or pay bills late because that lowers your credit score and you know what goes on from there. But your right everything will be okay! I wonder how many have enrolled so far?

There are several loan forgiveness programs available, especially for lawyers, teachers, doctors, nurses, etc. For example, Federal agencies may use loan forgiveness to recruit new employees — agencies may pay up to $10,000 per year, and $60,000 in total, toward an employee’s student debt. In return, the employee must agree to work for the agency for at least three years. Your first year of college is a great time to identify potential employers. It gives you an opportunity to network and intern with the employer throughout your college career. Check out the links below for additional loan forgiveness programs. Best wishes with everything! http://www.makingthedifference.org/federalinternships/documents/StudentLoanRepaymentandProgramsGuide.pdf http://projectonstudentdebt.org/files/pub/Loan%20Forgiveness.pdf FinAid | Loans | Loan Forgiveness The Basics of Student Loan Forgiveness and Repayment Programs Student Loan Forgiveness Programs

SOME agencies do, but not all. I know a few people that got stiffed by committing to work for the gov't, only to find out that the forgiveness program wasn't implemented at their federal activity/agency. They ended up having to fight for the money since they were promised it when hired. To this day I don't know how it turned out.
