I asked a Mason last week that same ? b/c i have been told by other OES's and Masons that they do know the secrets. I asked the Mason about some Sigma stuff and he wouldnt tell me. I was like why not and he was like im sworn to secrecy and we made a pact not to tell any orgs secrets to anyone so i cant tell u but i do know. Then he told me if u dont believe me, just become a Star and u will find out many things

Prettykitty, don't believe the hype. My father is a mason, and he is fourth generation mason. My grandmother is an OES and a Delta. They don't know all about D9. This idiot is throwing out common words associated with Delta, and hopes that it will make him appear to know something. Notice the way he's throwing out those words. If he really knew something, he could say some things in a way that only I and other Deltas would know that he knows stuff. He hasn't hit me in PM, and he hasn't given anything here. That's because he doesn't know anything. Just like my OES friends don't know anything. They know about their orgs, not D9, unless they are members or have friends who are members with loose lips. Don't believe the hype. One of my prophytes is OES, but she was a Delta first. According to her, some masons and OES like to play mind games with members of D9. She went in thinking that they knew all about us, but they didn't. She loves and respects the order, but she said that her process with that was unlike her process with Delta. According to her and my grandmother, there is more symbolism in OES, but the symbolism is totally different. The paths do not cross. I made a point of calling both to make sure that I knew what I was talking about. My prophyte also said that it is said that someof our founders were OES, but agreed that it can't be proven because there is no documentation. Don't believe the hype. I don't know about your founders, but mine were not OES at the time that Delta Sigma Theta was established.
I don't really buy into them knowing all of our secrets. If they did, then the Masons would have stopped at Alpha and been done with it. I know for a fact that at least two and suspected as many as 5 of our founders were, or became Masons. But I don't buy them knowing all of our secrets. I'll ask my LB and prophyte (who are both Masons) . . .and get back with you.

Like I said before, if you know it's due to loose lips of a soror, but not because you're a mason. And there is nothing to learn.
