Hello I was just wondering if it was true that AKA's can no longer have probate shows. I went to visit a cousin at her school last week and their AKAs happened to be coming out that weekend. They had a very small coming out show and their outfits consisted of jeans and pink & green shirts with their letters on it. Someone told me it was because they could only have small coming out shows because the national office had banned probates because they felt it was a form of hazing. I was just wondering if this was true or not because I hadn't heard that until now.

To be honest...it wasn't her responsibility to say ish from the get go (kudos to u D). Kind of a waste of energy to educate someone if they don't really want the information. People will believe what they want to...especially when they think they are right.

I don't spend my time thinking about things that aren't important in life. In the thicker scheme of things...this stuff doesn't have any value. Like I told someone before on this discussion board, the real world doesn't center around "Greek Life", and if people think that it does, they are going to get a rude awakening. So I"m going to refrain from playing juvenile games, and I'm going to quit responding to these idiotic messages. Peace!
I never said a name. Generally speaking, defending Greek life is like defending why you are Black, why you follow whatever religious beliefs you do, or heck...why the sky is blue. People will believe what they will believe regardless.
lol, And at this point i'm kinda sharing Jamaican Shawty's sentiment. Funny how folks will say "I don't have time to respond to this" and so on. However, I can safely bet about 20 bucks that that person will always come back and check for a reply. So smc, do you sistah. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to think about Greek life, visit messageboards about it, ask questions about it, or go **** for tat about it. It is your decision. If you don't want to...don't do it. Because you know what? You are absolutely right. The world does NOT revolve around Greek life. Couldn't agree with you more. So by all means, enjoy the one you are living. It's too short to do anything otherwise.

Getting all the young ladies you know who are going to be AKAs, like yourself, to sign a petition maybe kind of hard. Who else do you know that are going to be AKAs....like yourself?
