Good luck deedeja on raising your GPA.I think my GPA and test scores are ok for Howard - 3.2 and 24 but I'm worried about my extracurricular activities. I'm involved in about 4 things that I actually care about but I'm not in any leadership roles . I dont know what HU would think of that since they care about stuff like that .
I'm the opposite, in a way. 3.3 GPA, but my test scores are low. But I just became Sect. of the African American Club in my school. I'm sure you'll be fine. It shows you've been active in high school.

In my opinion, no, ACT would be better if you're weak in the math dept. In this ACT practice packet that I have it says "Six content areas are included in the Mathematics Test: pre-algebra, elementary algebra, intermediate algebra, coordinate geometry, plane geometry, and trigonometry" The SAT Math section concentrates more on Algebra, Pre-Cal, and some Calculus.
