Let it ALLLL Out Class of '08 Posted on 10-28-2007
Jamaican Shawty

My fellow class of 08er's HOW ARE YALL FEELING???? Happy, relieved, stressed, worried, blank, confused..??? I know I for one thought this year was going to be the easiest year of my high chool career but.....I WAS WRONG . Its not even about the course load but the continuous preparation for college from the pressures of the standardized tests (ACT & SAT) to the anticipation of the applications already sent and if we are making the right choices in our pursuit of our post secondary education. So this is the spot to let it all out every drip drop of how your feeling right here and those who did early application submissions let us know where you got accepted and where you most definitely know you are going.

Yea me and my friends were just talkin about how this year is hella expensive. My school has been pimping the hell out of us.....(this is the part where my cheap **** starts ranting)... Senior breakfast was $45 damn dollars. We had to pay like 20 dollars to park because the damn thing was on Miami Beach. On top of those 65 dollars I had to pay for an outfit, shoes and all the other girly crap that we girls purchase to look good at these stupid events. Then there's Grad Bash which is like 145 dollars plus spending money. And to top it all off you have to pay all of your financial obligations in order to be able to go......wtf .It seems like every week they find something new for us to pay for.

I have a job and I can barely make these payments! Senior dues aren't that bad ($35) but the yearbook is like $50-$60, prom is $20 (club price so that ain't bad), I'm not even gonna do Senior Beach Week now.....the room was gonna be $239.00 for a week not to mention spending money for those 6 days, senior pics were $55, cap and gown was like $70, By the time I graduate I'll be out at least $250. Ughhhhh......and they said this year was supposed to be a "breeze". I'm bout ready to pull all my hair out lol

Umm excuse me for soundin a lil dumb...but what are senior dues? Our school has been so jacked up this year, we aint got nothin really special about senior year except for winning homecoming week and graduation. Yearbooks would be $30 but they're too lazy to get it 2gether...cap and gown was $25 when i bought it...$25 for cap/gown pics...about $250 for senior pics...no senior trip!....i guess we still havin a prom which will cost about $20 for tix and $100 for all that good stuff...grad invitations, etc about $100....our school so damn poor tho

Well at my school senior dues cover the cost of our cap and gowns for graduation (they're rented so we don't keep them) and it covers the cost of the annual Senior Picnic at the end of the year. Dues are actually reasonable, considering all the food that is purchased out of that money.
