I want somebody to give me a reason for why i should beleive in God u see i am an aitheist that grew up in a conservitive christian enviorment and decided that god doesnt exist and ive been unable to meet anybody that can argue a good case for god that i cannot rebbuttle or disprove.

I am a Christian and I do believe in God. All I can tell you is to life a live without God, that's the loneliest life you could ever have. I'm going to pray for you. If you like to read check out the book The Revelations of Hell, by Mary K. Baxter. Informative book.

i never actually new that women actually do gain a lot of their strengh in life though their believe in god...i say this because all black women say to me that my life will be empty or hard or something lke that effect while men beleive in god simply because they do or because it makes sense to them... no man has ever told me that my life will be hard or empty without god for real most men just try to prove me wrong or they ignore me
i just thought this was interesting because it shows the differnces that men and women have. Women first reaction is always something emotional while men react with a much more factual logic-based arguement
I thank you for your insight...it well taken. Concerning my asking "who hurt you?". It has been my personal and professional experience that those who question the existence of God or who feel the need to debate science and religion, have been hurt. Or should I say have experienced an explained hurtful circumstance. About the faith statement, that came from the Bible. Not Webster, Oxford, nor Encyclopedia Brittanica. I believe everyone has the right to question and believe what they want. Everyone including those who are Christians should ask questions, if you don't how can you ever expect to learn. I respect your opinions and my goal is not to change anyone's mind, but to simply express my own.

This is a very interesting topic...I would like to say that I respect everyone for what they believe in because if you don't believe in something, you could find yourself falling for anything....
Now that that was said I have an opinion on this topic...First is this topic about science and evolution, if so GOD cannot be on the same level with man
(science is man's thing, but GOD gave man the ability and brain for science),
and please don't intend to put Him on the same level, just something that I believe....To me GOD exist because I used to do things that was not very Christian like and just like the creator of this topic, I didn't believe and I thought no GOD existed as well, I used to be like these people are crazy praying and going to church giving thanks and praises to someone they don't know even exist...However that's the problem with the world today, we are always looking for proof of something before we could even believe not knowing that the bases of religion is Faith, and as stated earlier "Faith is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things not seen. Faith is believing"...
TO MY BROTHER WHO CREATED THIS TOPIC, I CALLED OUT TO THE LORD BECAUSE I WAS TIRED OF BEING CONFUSED, PARTYING DRINKING AND DOING THINGS THAT HARMED MY BODY AND SOUL....GOD IS WAITING ON US TO CALL ON HIM BECAUSE HE WANTS TO HELP US LIVE A BETTER LIFE IN THIS WORLD THAT HE CREATED FOR GOOD AND MAN TURNED INTO SOMETHING ELSE
(REFER TO THE STORY OF ADAM AND EVE AND THE PUNISHMENT THAT WAS PUT UPON THEM FOR NOT OBEYING GOD, TO ME THAT'S HOW SIN WAS BROUGH UPON THE WORLD, BECAUSE BEFORE THE APPLE WAS EATEN ADAM AND EVE WAS OK, BUT THAT IS SOMETHING THAT I BELIEVE)
NOW WHEN I ACCEPTED GOD INTO MY LIFE THINGS CHANGED I FELT SO GOOD INSIDE THINGS I USED TO DO I DO NOT EVEN HAVE THE URGE TO DO ANYMORE ALTHOUGH WE ALL ARE TEMPTED AND FALL SHORT SOMETIMES....I AM EVEN STRONGER AND CAN STAND THINGS THAT SOME NON BELIEVERS WOULDN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND...WHEN I PRAY MY BROTHER THERE IS THIS FEELING THAT RUNS THROUGH MY SOUL THAT LETS ME KNOW THAT THE TRINITY IS WITH ME AND HEARS ME...TRUE THERE IS SOME SACRIFICE THAT YOU HAVE TO DO AS A BELIEVER BUT IN THE END IT IS WORTH IT BECAUSE A BLESSING THAT COMES IS BEYOND MEASURE TRUST AND BELIEVE....
MY MOMS HAS AN ILLNESS AND I BROUGHT FRIENDS HOME FROM COLLEGE WITH ME ONE SPRING BREAK AND SHE HAD ONE OF HER EPSIODES, I DID NOT PANIC NOR WAS I ASHAMED FOR MY FRIENDS TO SEE THIS, I JUST SAT NEXT TO MY MOMS AND PRAYED FOR HER CONDITION CAUSE THINGS COULD OF BEEN WORST, AND I ALSO PRAYED FOR HEALING, DO YOU KNOW THAT IN THE MORNING MY MOTHER WAS JUST FINE...HEY YOU DON'T HAVE TO BELIEVE ME BUT GOD IS GOOD... Some things just require faith. As you probably say, 'I'm going to do this and that tomorrow', but u really don't know b/c who says you will be here tomorrow. The same is true with believing in God. You won't understand everything, but just b/c u don't understand it doesn't mean you've proven it wrong. They are two different things. I beg to differ that you've found anything to be proven wrong in the bible. If so, please provide me with one part supported by your evidence.
Also, everything isn't scientific. But I believe what one person said earlier and that is that Jesus is coming back and when He does, you will know for sure, but then it will be too late. So it's good that you aren't being close minded, but just think about what is being said.
P.S. If you read the bible, you will see it's perfection and realize that no man on earth could have written something so perfect even if they wanted to. Only a Greater Being could and He is God.
god is the reason that you are seeing the day now.. The lord is soo good to all of us and has it ever occurrd to you that the lord could end all this now? He's having to much grace on our lives right now... The lord has brought me out of so many things in this world that I knew for a fact I WOULDN'T be able to get through.. I cna't imagine a day without not knowing got. He gives you peace, happiness, love, etc.. One day you should get on your knees and pray hard to the lord.. You'll see the move of god in a mighty way...
