I just got $1000 from a outside scholarship and my school should be hittin me with some cash this tuesday. I'm close to gettin half of my tuition paid w/o loans...

*phew* I thought I was the only one that didn't have any money AL ALL. Congrats to all y'all that got money though, you're soo lucky. I've applied to scholarships (and applying for more) but I doubt I'll win any. Loans are next for me if money doesn't work out. And I filled out the FAFSA early but that doesn't really guaratee me any money.
well i don't know about anybody else but hampton hasn't even sent me anything yet and im starting to get scared o_O but i have a 1000 dollar scholarship from McDonald's and hopefully more on thursday at the academic awards banquet.
I feel so bad....but like I said..I have to be faithful and grateful. Faithful knowing that when God shuts one door, he always has something bigger and better for me. Grateful knowing that people would die to be in the position that I am in now.
at least u went and tried it (for free!). I went to Hampton even tho they gave me NO money and ended up being miserable, so I know what you're going through (kind of). C'est la vie (that's life) u learn life lessons, apply them, and move on. Good luck, I'm a transfer student as well (but this time not to an hbcu)...hope everything works out for u.
hey yall congrats to all yall who got da full ride. i only got a little over 14,000 for clark atlanta and got rejected for all da loans they told me to get because of dat whole credit check thing ya know. so i still need at least 10 or 11,000 more to attend da school. hopefully i find some way to get it so if anyone knows of any possible loans or scholarship contest please hit me up. and for everyone else keep ur head up something will come through for u iight.
Congraulations to the rabbit! I see u doing big things. I'm a member of a group called 21st Century scholars. It's a program that gives you a full scholarship to any school in Indiana. I'm still looking for more scholarships though cause I don't wanna stay in Indiana!!
