I was just wondering which HBCUs are known to have the highest academic standards and best reputation for excellence? I did a little research on it before, but the only schools I can still remember are...
Howard
Morehouse
Clark
Spelman
FAMU
Hampton
Dillard
Stillman
Xavier
Tuskegee
I know there were at least one or two more on my original list, but can't remember what they were. Any glaring omissions?
Also, what academic area are these schools best known for? For example, I know FAMU has an excellent reputation for business.
Finally, what are the top 2 or 3 HBCUs to attend for an education degree?
I know that's a lot of info to ask for, but I have 3 or 4 friends considering attending HBCUs that are asking me for advice, and I don't know enough to tell them. Thanks in advance for any help.
Way to go Slim. Good you consider yourself a winner. So your school is better than mine because it's a university? Don't play yourself ****. We're a college because we don't need university status to be as prominent and as prestigious as we are. Ivy league recruiters recruit harder here, at Spelman, and at Howard harder than they ever have or ever will at Hampton. If your school is top notch why have you never ranked higher than us in the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge? Why does Harvard enroll more of our students than yours? Why do we produce higher caliber students? Why is our endowment nearly that of yours yet we're twice as small? Why we were ranked higher than you by Black Enterprise the last THREE times rankings were done? Why do we recruit more National Achievement Scholars than Hampton? Why has Oprah donated over $12 million to us and not you? Why can't you just accept that compared to Morehouse, Spelman, Howard, FAMU, and others, you're merely a safety school? Drop it Slim and get over yourself, USNews already has. Holla . . .
