Okay lovely people of HBCU's here are my imputs on D.C, Howard and everything in between(if u care to know):
D.C-
* I'll have to un-learn how to properly drive because it seems no one knows how to drive
*pedestrians dont stop at red lights i guess and walk slowly across on green
*too too too much traffic everywhere
*bold **** bums from D.C
*houses that are conjoined and painted in extreme colors (whats that about?)
*it'll take some adjusting
Howard-
*a tad bit unorganized especially when it came to financial aid time
*beautiful people. honestly almost all the girls looked like models and a lot of attractive men also
*loved the stores by howard. one i especially would love to shop at is up against the wall
*a lil bit ghetto
*i didnt talk to anybody which sucked.
Overall-
Im lookin forward to the experience, if anybody who reads this goes to Howard or will be going please respond with ur own views on the subject
Thank You.....Now I'm mad because I checked it and it said I never paid my housing fee which I paid in early April.....
Anyway...Is anyone here going to the school of B? and if so did y'all get a letter in the mail talking about a program going on that's $1900? Hm...
I know what you sayin about that housing fee. Mine says the same thing. But you should call to verify because we had to do that. The man thats over it told me everything was fine.So check on that. I know about some of the summer programs and the amount they are asking for is rediculous. I am not going to the school of business but I know. Thankfully I got into the HUSEM program for what they consider a distinguished scholar and it is free. Although I really didnt want to do it I kind of agree with my mom now when she says that it is time to start building up the college resume. Good Luck to you. Keep us informed.
Thanks, I've been calling since last wednesday however, and everytime I get the same response; "call back at a quarter til 5"...I call back and she says "call back tomorrow"...One time she transferred me to this man's phone but his voicemail picked up only to say "This mailbox is full" and they DO NOT respond to e-mails!!! I don't know what the problem is but I need them to solve it ASAP. But thanks for the info once again. I'll let u know when I get an answer from HU.

just to jump on, has anybody gotten their HU email account addresses yet, cuz every damn school I got into gave me one already but I can't even get one from the school I'm going to and have already paid for. What's the deal on that?

When you get your letter from the school of B? Because I never got one, my friend had told me about his. I'm still waiting on mine...I think I'm last on HU's list lol.
And nope, I haven't got any kind of e-mail address...N E one know when regular orientation is or when we get dorm assignments?
ummm... i got my letter from the school of b like 2 weeks ago... it said that it was manditory to go to the summer business program in order to be accepted.... but i haven't received an email add. nor a room assingment... patienctly waiting! :x
I know that they don't start kickin out room assignments until after gradutaion which is tommorow so we'll prolly hear about those starting in the beginning of june

Mr. McDoogle called me today and he said that you can start checking BISONWEB next week for your room assignments. ..........and when I called the school of B earlier today to ask about the mandatory program she had no clue what I was talking about. All she said was "mandatory? a program in the school of B? You sure?"....so I don't know whats up with that. She wasnt much help tho.......But I just wanted to let yall know about the Rooms.
