I've been viewing this part of the hbcuconnect message board and I've seen alot of people come on and ask questions and alot of people get attitudes when someone just wants to know an answer. I can understand if someone is tryin to diss your organization or ask personal things about your pledging process, but alot of times if someone asks something simple, some of yall will get rude and try to go off. Is it really that deep to try to go off on someone over the internet that you dont even know? Do you think thats going to make you appear any smarter or prove your point any more? If you see a post that you don't wanna answer, can't you just skip it? I mean, maybe they really did want the question asked, maybe they really didnt know the answer. I'm pretty sure you didnt know everything about every greek organization. Yahoo! GOOGLES, ASKJEEVES, and MSN might not answer all the questions someone is wanting to know. Maybe they want to ask a member of that organization personally. If you view the index part of the board it says right under the greek forum "Kappas Step...... Sigmas Step.......... Aight........... Whats Really Good.... Ask question about ya Favorite Greek Fam or Rep ya Letters!!" So if they are doing what the description says, why get upset alot of the times when stuff shouldnt be a biggie?
hmmmm so you telling me, if u were interested in an organization and a few of the members of that organization was **** towards you, you would still wanna be down with them? I dont care what you say, you can wanna be something for like 10 years and then if someone comes across and **** you off on a whole other level, that would turn you off. I mean, sure, its not the whole organization but you are repping them. You are holding down your organization.
If you change your mind about joining an organization based off of the members behavior towards you, then clearly you don't want it bad enough. If you wanted it bad enough, you wouldn't let that bother you so much. You should be focused on the original principles that the organization was founded on.
Some of my prophytes were mean, but I didn't let that stop me. I worked hard and didn't let them come between me and my goal. That's how I got to where I am now.
So if you want a job bad enough, are you willing to be called a N@#@er or female dog?
That is a bit extreme as far as examples go. They merely said that if a person were to become upset at a person in their org. of interest. I highly doubt that Greeks are going around calling interests ouyt of their name because of question (no matter how stupid). If someone makes you mad that should not be reason to stop going after something that you truly desire, that is if you want it bad enough. That would be like saying I really want to be a doctor, but my chemistry professor made mme mad, so I'm just going to change my major to mass comm. If a potential employer calls you the "n" word or a "femaledog" that is just plain wrong and there is no reason at all for that kind of disrespect.
I'd just like to state for the record I'm neither nor upset, nor have I ever been. Stupid redundant questions deserve to be answer as such. But forreal yo, this stupid thread is taking up space. I'd rather there be a thread like "So What'd You Wear Today"...

1) It was meant to be extreme.
2) Wether you doubt it or not it has happened.
3) If someone upsets you, you should have enough self respect to address it without adding fuel to the fire. But if calling somone out means you won't get picked what do you think will appen.
4) I, personally, have had to fire some of my lower management because of their comments. So, yes it does occur.

Me and my girl? First... learn to spell and type correctly. Then learn that even though AKAtude is my soror, we don't have to gang up on some dumb kid together.
