When Has A Non-Member Overstepped Their Boundaries Posted on 05-20-2004
C Diddy

I know I am quite knowledgable about black greek organizations (among other things). But when do you think a non-member has overstepped their boundaries. I've been to a web site that was composed of mainly west coast greeks and I know that many of the comments stated by non-members in this forum wouldn't fly over their (mine included). I just wanted to know, aside from perping, when do you think a non-greek has overstepped the boundaries?

My homegirl graduated last year and we keep in touch. she said she had the panhellenic association send a letter of introduction to all the sororities she was interested in at her school. Now to me that is oversteppin...blatantly...but she seemed confident... I would just hate for her to get EM-BARRASED after she had all that confidence...

I've been reading this. While some of yall make amazingly good points, I see some folk on here setting themselves up for utter humiliation. So, I'll break it down for everyone, in case you haven't figured it out yet: 1) If you're not there yet, don't tell ANYONE what you wanna be... 2) If you can't explain what it means, DON'T call it, wear it, or stroll with it 3) Just cause ya boy or homechick is something, doesn't make you it...no piggybacking on this ride. That's all. Follow this rules, "outsiders", stick to your gunz, and you'll be fine...or at least, not in deep shyte with a greek person for trying to "bootleg" their joint....

I came through SPR 04...#11, such and such a chapter" and u just happen to be talking to a GOOD friend of that lines DP!! and so it gets back to that person that the friend was talking #11 about coming through her Chapter and it comes to light that there were only 10 girls on the line!! All in all.... if that person is reading this right now.... there is only room for ONE TAIL DOG to MY line and that ONE is ME!! Zeta Alpha.... the one and ONLY #10...SPR 04!

I think it is really outta control when people make up they own little click and stroll in the club throwing up other fraternities and sororities hand signs and doing their calls and some of their moves....OUTTA LINE!!! and this issue seems to be getting worse every semester!

I get a quite ticked off when I think a member is not being discrete enough about the org when their girlfriend is concerned...not to mention her even thinking it's okay to imitate a stroll....

Throw back....! Folk who like telling me about my org when they aren't in it, or have inkling of what of what the fraternal process entails immediately previous to, process-wise, and as a full-fledge initiated member (who done seen more than their own rit, and initiated a few members, worked for the org and strived to promote its orgs purposes and ideals).
